Which Bible verses are the best ones to cling to?

I suppose I think about Job and his whole ordeal when I think of illness, but there are plenty other verses that are good out there, I'm sure.

I have a couple. ^_^

2 Corinthians 5:1 ESV
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

James 5:14-15 ESV
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

What was the "thorn in the flesh" to which Paul makes reference in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9?

These are great! Thanks!

Some people were engaged at church in a conversation about the "thorn in the flesh" that Paul was talking about. Then my husband and I talked about it, too. It's one of those interesting studies! razz
