Yugo travels from the synchro dimension to the standard dimension as Yuya beats the obelisk force in beserk mode. Yugo beats Taki and Naga who refuse to tell him where he is. Olga and Aladdin are defeated by Reed. Olga uses an ice deck while Aladdin uses the genie and the lamp deck. Reed uses a cookpal deck. Taki and Naga use warrior star decks and it is unknown at this point what Yugo uses in terms of a themed deck. As far as has been viewed, Yugo uses a random synchro deck. Yuya's friends try to calm Yuya down, but are having a time doing so. Sun shadow and Moon shadow swoop in and escorts Zuzu and Celina away from the Obelisk force. Zuzu explained to Celina what Celina's classmates did to the people of the Xys dimension and tells her that it wasn't just duelists turned into cards, but innocents as well. She also says that Shay knows more because he was there and so Celina goes to find Shay. Meanwhile, Yuri shows up from the fusion dimension to steal Zuzu in Standard and runs into Dennis who knows Yuri. Could Dennis really be from the Fusion dimension?

In order to escape capture from Yuri, Zuzu hid underneath a glacier and thanks to her bracelet, Yuri was teleported out of there when Yugo shows up and mistakes Zuzu for Rin and gives Zuzu a hug. When Yuya was about to show up, Yugo and Zuzu were teleported to the Synchro dimension, but Yuya has no clue as to where Zuzu went. Meanwhile, as Celina was about to get her wish for answers from Shay, Shay was beaten by Sora and rendered unconscious.

The youth division championship finals take place in order to quell an angry crowd due to the feeds being down. It was Tate from Yushow against Riley from Leo Corp. Meanwhile, where Shay and Celina were, Shay comes to, but before Celina can get answers, Sun Shadow and Moon shadow show up. Moon shadow takes Shay and Celina away while Sun Shadow deals with Sora.

Moon Shadow was halted in his rescue due to more Obelisk force members interfering. Reed and Trout join that duel, but are turned into cards. Yuya witnesses Reed and Trout being turned into a card each and begins to lose it once more. Sylvio joins in that fight next, which gives Yuya the opportunity to challenge Sora to a duel.

Despite his best efforts, Tate was unable to beat Riley. Riley proves that he is just as formidable as his older brother Declan. And, like Declan, he uses a double and triple D monster deck.

Meanwhile, in the volcano zone, the duel with Obelisk force, Shay, Gong who just entered, Moon Shadow, and Sylvio continues with intensity. Gong makes a mighty move and thanks to some teamwork, Shay was able to beat the Obelisk force that was hunting them.

Sora's and Yuya's duel was cut short when time ran out and Sora teleports out of there a failure. It was then that Sylvio reveals the true nature of the tournament, which Yuya cannot believe what he is hearing.

Angered by being used, Yuya challenges Declan to a duel. Yuya uses a performapal deck while Declan uses a double and triple D monster deck. Declan accepts and claims that should Yuya win, Yuya would be able to refuse joining the lancers, but if Declan wins, then Yuya has no choice but to join the Lancers in the hunt to save everybody.

Try as he might, Yuya proves that he does not have what it takes to do this mission to save Zuzu alone and therefore upon losing to Declan, has to join the lancers as was agreed. Declan is hiding the fact that he knows that Zuzu is in the Synchro dimension and not fusion and is as safe as she can be in her situation.

Back at the tournament arena, now that the championship is over, the chairwoman Henrietta explains why the feed went out and what the purpose of the tournament was. She tells the audience that their world had been invaded and that the duelists that remained in the tournament were worthy to bring those who have been turned into cards back to normal and who would prevent such a tragedy from happening again. In addition, future tournaments would not be happening as insurance that the standard dimension remains safe from now on.

Yoko Sakaki takes her son to the arcade and takes out a motorbike claiming that she is the queen of the sirens. She has a lesson for Yuya which involves entertaining the crowd regardless of how grueling the situation might be.

Telling a story about how Yoko met Yushou when she really was the queen of the sirens, she explains that a long time ago, her friend had been taken by some thugs who enjoyed tormenting the sirens. But, it was thanks to Youshou's razzle dazzle and a card called Smile world that helped turn the duel around for the better. The friend was saved and Yoko's heart was captured. She was never the queen of the sirens again. Her point was that in order to save Sora and Zuzu and everybody trapped in cards, Yuya was going to have to put on the entertaining show of a lifetime and to do it with a smile.

At first Yuya didn't get it, but when he did, he showed Yoko that he understood, retrieved smile world, and then with the help of a special card, he along with 8 others were teleported to the Synchro dimension where they are to recruit allies for the upcoming invasion of the fusion dimension.

Yugo explains to Zuzu about the Synchro dimension and how there are two different classes. The top siders who are rich and have everything while his side known as the commoners have to scrape just to get by. Thanks to a small child wanting to touch Yugo's duel runner, the small child's mom calls sector security and now Yugo and Zuzu must flee in order to evade being put in a detention center known as the facility where the guards are ruthless.

Yugo has been confirmed to use a speed-roid deck while sector security uses a Goyo deck. The turbo duel commences while Yugo and Zuzu try to escape being captured. Thankfully, after a brilliant move on waiting until the last moment to play a trap card, Yugo proves just how much of a b*****d he can really be and beats sector security. He even flies over a squad van blockading the road to evade capture.

The next morning, Yuya, Sylvio, Celina, and Riley all appear in the Commons sector where they immediately have a run in with sector security. Yuya and Celina are accused of being the escapees from the night before because they look like Yugo and Zuzu, but while Riley is too scared to take them on and Yuya doesn't want to fight because he is innocent, Sylvio wants to be a show off and Celina wants to prove that she is not some easy b***h that rolls over for just anybody and so a duel commences.
