Israfel had always loved this type of weather; it was great for flying, but even better for taking a small stroll. She shifted her wings carefully along her back, letting them fold somewhat bulkily against her sides. Two sets always made it a little harder to fold neatly. She bobbed her head to a rhythm only she could hear, the song just soft enough in the back of her head to let her enjoy the quiet of the summer day.

She didn't know what the day would hold for her; who did? But this particular Angeni had discovered that she needed to spread her wings and discover the world around her. She'd been set in her ways since she was young, decided her fate far too early. And now she was free to do whatever she wished, whenever she wished. Her ears flipped up slightly, swiveling about before they settled once more. She wanted nothing more than to help sooth the souls of those around her; to make everyone happy and sing the soul deep in their hearts. Anything could be healed with song; she believed it in her very bones. And the more she walked around, the more she discovered, the more she wanted to sing.

Words came from her mouth without her even realizing it. She sang a soft song, her head tilting back and forth with each beat. As she walked, she danced side to side, adding a bit more swagger into her step. She could just feel it bubbling up inside her; threatening to escape her heart with such vigor that it would cause a scene. She paused for a moment, giggling to herself before moving continuing onward, the hum softening once more. "Oh what will the world hold for me today~?" She beamed, her eyes brightening with a sense of wonder.

Noelanii had been caught up in a bit of a daydream, even as she picked her way through the flowering fields, and enjoyed the sun upon her back. The day promised to be a beautiful one, and if the little mare had been more bold, she might have spread her wings and taken flight. But Noelanii wasn't particularly brave, nor was she overly adventurous; while her brother might be an up-and-coming knight, Noelanii chose to follow a different path.

She was, at the end of the day, a bit of a homebody; and while she had heard many stories of the world, she honestly couldn't ever see herself leaving home for long. Not by herself, at least, and certainly not without having family and loved ones near. Though part of her wished to see the great mountains of the Kawani, or the beaches where the water touched the sky, it was here in the plains that Noelanii knew she would likely always remain.

Let her siblings find adventure elsewhere... She would enjoy the soft grasses, and the whispers of the wind. It was safer that way... Or at least, it was comfortable.

Realizing, too late, that she had wandered well out of her family's territory--or at least far enough that she was in an unfamiliar path--the mare was about to turn around when her ears twitched. There was a song on the wind--quiet, but getting ever so louder. There was also the clear sound of bells. Whatever could that be?

Noelanii's black tail gave a little flick, and she almost bolted the way she had come. For as comfortable as she was around her family, running into strangers had a way of getting her tongue-tied, and often made a fool of herself. Bashfulness had always gripped her; and while she was far too old to run and hide behind her Mother's legs, that didn't mean she wanted to be caught off guard. Especially in an unfamiliar place.

But curiosity also gripped the mare, keeping her still. Bells were often the approach of an angeni.... and she had never met one in person. While the Kawani was rife with danger, something kept her still. Finally, after too long, the mare caught sight of what surely must have been the sound of the voice--and the sight astonished her.

There was a mare with a jet black coat, and the most colorful markings she had ever seen. The rainbows and iridescent hues were something she had never seen; and the various jewelry and items that adorned her were completely foreign. Not wanting to get into the others way, Noelanii did step back from the path, and though her wings were taught against her side--prepared for take off in case she needed to make a hasty getaway--she did her best to look as small and unassuming as possible.

"Good day to you," she all but whispered as the mare drew closer, dipping her head so she might hide her face in her hair. Oh, she was a foolish mare, if ever there was one...If only one of her siblings were near; then they could do the talking and be engaging and Noelanii wouldn't be there to mess the whole thing up.

LOL I promise she'll be less anxious in time. Hopefully.
Still getting a feel for her....

Call it her own personal spidey-sense, but she always felt the song shift into her heart whenever someone was near. She tilted her head up slightly, so she could try and see who exactly it was. Squinting her bright blue eyes against the brightness of the sun, she finally spotted someone up ahead. A soft white-gray pelt, and dark hair with bright rainbow streaks that made her own pale rainbow look soft. The small set of wings made her smile; adorable! She always had found winds to be a cute species, much like little birds on the wind.

As she got closer, she could see the anxious way the mare shifted. She tilted her head curiously, and slowed her walk as she got closer. Israfel didn't want to startle the small mare, and didn't want to seem overwhelming. She tried to keep her wings closer, so as not to seem any bigger. She dipped her head down lightly, so her eyes were more level with the wind. She offered a soft smile to her. Israfel lifted a leg, and did a small bow, lowering her upper half toward the ground a little bit, before standing back up. She ensured to stay a small distance away, not wanting to approach and startle her away. "It is, isn't it? A good day to you as well."

Israfel glanced around a moment, her eyes scanning the surroundings. It didn't look like there was anything around that would cause her to be scared. She almost wondered if something had scared her out of her normal territory and it was making her uncomfortable. She turned her attention back to the wind, and let her eyes portray as much kindness as she could. "Are you all right? You're not in danger, right?" She asked, her voice dropping so that it wasn't too alarming. She didn't want to draw attention if something dangerous was close.
