A few hours after their first battle, with their Pokemon completely healed, the sun indicating they were roughly a few hours from sunset, Ryan and Wren would be called back to the battlefield for the second round of the battle portion of the tournament. Still with the same Pokemon available to them as before (whether or not they have more than three to choose from), thanks in part to the fact that no aid from the Isle of Armor came in the last round, the pair found themselves on a field different from before but still the same stadium.

An elevated field, with even the battle boxes raised and requiring stairs to reach, the 'field' its self consisted of numerous flat topped pillars of various heights and widths. Looking down they could see it was a very long drop down into the machinery below and a Pokemon probably would get knocked out if they lost their footing and hit the bottom. Their next opponents soon appeared in the form of Dexio of Lumiose City and Calem of Vaniville Town.

"Whoo! Round two! How ya feeling, Calem? The professor would be proud!" Dexio declared aloud as he released an Espeon onto one of the nearest pillars. "Oh, where are my manners! I'm Dexio! Assistant to Professor Sycamore and travel worn voyager!" He announced to his opponents with cheer. "You there, Ryan? Alola! Beautiful home region you have. I enjoyed my time there."

"I feel tres bien, merci." Calem replied with a smile and sent out a Fletchinder, the Pokemon hovering in the air over the field as it flapped its wings with vigor. "Je m'appelle Calem, if you didn't overhear Dexio. Before we start I would like to thank you and your team profusely. Kalos has changed drastically for the better because your group. Merci mille fois." He said the last part in Kalosian but it was clearly thanks for them.

Once the Snagems released their Pokemon the ref would cry out; "Round 2! Ryan of Seafolk Village and Wren of Lentimas Town vs Dexio of Lumiose City and Calem of Vaniville Town! Let the battle begin!"

Wren would offer a small wave in greeting to their opponents, moving his hand to his belt afterward. He couldn't understand a word of Calem's Kalosian but he assumed from the context of the rest that it was positive. Upon taking stock of the battlefield, he'd make a quick decision. The opponents Pokemon didn't have any particular strengths against his choice, as far as their typing went but he felt this would be the best option for the moment. He knew James to be a highly mobile Pokemon from their last battle and with this battlefield, mobility would be key.

He'd not shown this one off since giving her a Prism Pokeblock so her appearance was a bit different, but Hyacinth was unmistakable. The Florges' dichroic flowers shimmered in the light as Wren released her and called for his first move. "Hyacinth, use Grassy Terrain! Keep it close!" He called out. He had an idea how to support Ryan and James but it would take a round or two to set up correctly.

When Hyacinth had finished conjuring the grasses on her pillar, Wren called for another move. She’d be using this for more than it’s healing benefit for the moment. “Petal Blizzard! Aim for Espeon!” He called. He had a plan but it would need another moment to take care of their opponents. Hyacinth would sweep her hands through the air around her, collar of flowers glittering in the sun as she swept up a small sea of petals from herself and the wildflowers that came with the Grassy Terrain and hurled them like a cannonball toward Espeon. Upon impact, they’d explode into a violent storm of flowers and, hopefully, obscure the feline’s senses for a moment to pull off the next move.

As the Petal Blizzard bore down the Psychic cat let out a pained meow but alas stood firm, thanks in part to its own strengthening from the earlier Calm Mind. The flurry of petals did distort its vision and the abundance of Grass energy in the air would make a mental lock on tasking but Dexio knew just what to do. "Future Sight! Hold your ground for now!" He ordered. Espeon gave its self a little reassuring nod and closed its eyes as it peered into the future, tail raised and twitching.

Fletchinder would be far more inconvenienced by the petals in the air as it was unable to see the Snipe Shot coming this time and the water bullet sniped it right out of the air, the bird sent tumbling down towards the chasm below. In that moment Ryan would see something glisten on its underbelly before it disappeared.

"Fletchinder!" Calem called out to his Pokemon as it disappeared from sight. There was a few seconds of silence until a Talonflame came rocketing out from the chasm below, an Eviolite falling from its body as it soared into the sky, the item falling into the darkness as it was useless to it now. "Phew, mon dieu. Glad it helped you survive but I didn't expect evolution! Etonnant! Talonflame, Flail on Inteleon!" He commanded.

With a revengeful cry the newly evolved Talonflame would dive bomb straight through the petals in the sky, burning a few up just by its presence as it called upon what little strength it had left to empower this full on tackle it aimed at James.

"Alright James! You've done enough for now! U-turn on that Espeon!" Ryan shouts out. James leaps at the Espeon and then drop-kicks the Espeon right in the face, spring-boarding off it and right back to its ball. Ryan then calls Undine, his Primarina, who takes her place on the Flower Tower, ready to make her mark on this battle.

"Not bad yourself, but my Primarina has a wicked song for ya, yeah? Undine! Hyper Voice!" Ryan calls out to a heavily damaged Undine. This was probably her Swanna Song given that Future Sight was still out there and ready to land, but she was gonna chunk both of her opponents before doing so. Undine takes in an extremely deep breath, and with her Liquid Voice, belts out a powerful water-based note that would rip through both of her opponents.
