Personality: Before the death of their parents and the loss of their family home, Monte used to be an upbeat individual without a care in the world, usually the last to rise and the last to bed after a fun night of celebration and bonding with family. He was one of the more juvenile brothers, one that required a little nudge to get to work each day. One of the brothers that could honestly stand to grow up a bit more. Now? In the face of tragedy, he has quickly developed into a cautious and hardworking stallion, a far cry from his former self. Instead of dealing with the turbulent emotions and feelings following those events, Monte has decided to turn a new leaf and step up for the first time in his life, pouring everything into keeping his brothers safe. The brothers only have each other to rely on now, and he will do whatever he can to ensure that his remaining family is safe, healthy, and happy. Dealing with his own feelings can wait... or so he says.
Instead of focusing solely on mining, Monte now serves as a jack-of-all-trades. He’s a handy man of sorts for the group – maintaining their tools, keeping their lanterns functioning, fixing things up within the caverns, developing safety measures, frequently checking up on his brothers, etc. He does whatever he can to keep their little operation running as smoothly and safely as possible. This new outlook on life... sometimes leads to Monte stretching himself thin and taking on too much. Everyone has their limit, and as hard as he tries, Monte is no exception! This usually results in him, unknowingly, becoming noticeably snippy with others or somber as he thinks back on all that they’ve lost. Does he keep himself busy to avoid confronting his own feelings (something that absolutely terrifies him)? Does he yearn for those carefree days of his youth? Does he fear losing what remains of his family? Maybe.

Personality:
Aryon woke up with a smile in his heart, grateful that his brothers all had chosen to stick together to increase their chances of survival when they got separated from his parents and their elders. And surviving they did.
Now that they are fully grown, Aryon's personality shone like the bright gems they once used to find inside the cave before their warring family completely destroyed it. Aryon believed that he was born to possess and extra dose of strong will than his brothers, a gift he believed to be given from his ancestors who are now watching over them from up in the skies. With a clear conscious mind, he became the voice of reason.. no matter how many tears have been shed or how many painful memories they all retained, he would do what it takes to keep his brothers safe from going down the dark/wrong paths.. setting an example why not to take bribes from strangers, he alerts them that wrong negotiations and dealings can lead to death, if not broken limbs.
Having found a new semi abandoned cave, sometimes inhabited by wild wolves , while respecting each others space, Aryon had started to mine a tunnel inside it bit by bit as he looks after his 'little brothers,' - somehow he felt at ease to call them little even though they are of the same age and build- and prefers to get work done before taking any breaks.
When he is on breaks to eat or sleep or stretch his legs, he enjoys being in the forest to sing with the birds as he feeds them and nurtures the injured ones. at night he would often leave his lantern outside hanging off a sturdy tree branch to ward off passing soquili. and sometimes he would feed the snakes too that he noticed stalking from inside the bramble bushes...
To strangers and passing soquili he may seem timid and distant, but Aryon knows how to wield an axe and fight with the stinger on his tail-end.
Next few points are up to plots/rp developments
-Aryon believes that one day, they will see his parents again. rumours and whispers throughout the land have said that a brightly lit wishing star in the sky can reunite long lost family members........
-Aryon found a new cave that he wants to call home but is not convinced that his brothers would want to live alongside wild untamed wolves......
-Does Aryon know how to joke around? or take a joke?
-what are his siblings future plans? would they easily agree to a conclusion or will there be butting of heads?

Temper (Optional): Creative
Personality: Kailash, sometimes called Kal by his brothers, hated the animosity that grew in the herd when the original mine collapsed. He retreated into himself as the arguments and division grew. And he found himself spending time making beautiful things out of the broken bits of their old home.
When everyone left, Kailash stayed with his brothers. Having found a way to craft things from the shards of crystal or bits of broken glass and pottery around he also found his peace and purpose. Before the family had only mined, making that their calling and job. But if the brothers were to continue, to make a better herd than the one that broke when adversity hit, Kal figured they needed to be more diversified. After all, if something happened with one source of work, there would still be options for others.
So he brought what he had been working on to his brothers once they found a new home. Crystals twisted with wire to make pendants, bits of glass and pottery from broken vessels made into mosaics, and even new tools made of wood, leather, and stone. Kal explained that he loved them, he wanted to stay with them in the new cave, to be there as new excavations were made. But that mining wasn't going to be his job anymore.
They had always known that the gems they traded were sometimes taken to crafters to make into some form of art or adornment. Now, Kailash wanted to be a crafter himself, to use what came from the mine to create beauty that would trade better than just the gems themselves.
He would still be there to help work the mine if things got tight and he was needed, but he would provide in new and different ways, teaching others who wanted to learn as the herd expanded. This way even if this mine some day went dry or collapsed, the herd would still have a way to provide even as they looked for a new mine. And maybe with a variety of professions within the herd, the animosity and division that broke their family wouldn't happen again.

Personality: Athelstan was born in, what he considers, a once noble family. He remembers what it was like to live and work beneath the minds; the glory and excitement of unearthing a rare and beautiful gem; the celebration of showcasing the results of their digs, and trading with locals above ground before, like the very stones they dug, they would return to the earth. Athelstan had always been his families biggest supporter, perhaps to his own detriment--he believed that their way of life would never change, and even looked down his nose at others who weren't born of the crystal blood. It wasn't and isn't that Athelstan thinks himself superior -- his familial pride ran as deep as the caves they dwelled within. He took joy in their moments of success, and loved to assist his family in their digs, forever proud of their way of life.
So it was, Athelstan was so focused on their successes and their routines, ever eager to do his part, that it never occurred to him that things would change ever so dramatically. The collapse of the mine shook Athelstan to the core--but he'd hardly had time to grieve for his parents loss than the infighting and accusations of those that remained tore the remaining family apart. Instead of having the mines and a life purpose, they were abandoned, and had nothing but one another to lean upon. The very earth he had so loved had betrayed him, and he was unsure whether or not he dared to go back.
With his pride wounded, and his heart sore, Athelstan is presently at a loss on what to do. He is still grieving the loss of his family--both those that left, and those that perished--and he has become, perhaps, a bit clingier around his siblings. He's been thoroughly shook to the core, afraid that the earth might well swallow them all up now that they're above it. Part of Athelstan yearns to mine again, but another part of him is struggling with the trauma; his love for the earth is presently being tested, and only time will tell whether he can learn to embrace his new life above ground, or make amends with the earth.
To strangers who meet this crystal-backed soquili, he can be a bit abrasive. His haughty nature hasn't fully diminished--he will be suspicious of strangers and should any of his brothers find mates, will likely take time to warm up to them - are they good enough, worthy enough, to be with his siblings? He tries to walk a big game, but where once he was sincere in such feelings, now, it's more of a façade.
There's more to this stallion than he might let on...feelings that he might only let his brothers, or the closest of friends, know. He's struggling, but he doesn't want to admit it; he may need help through his grief, but again, his pride tends to get in the way.
At present, he follows his brother's lead--but where he once walked so boldly and spoke so proudly, he's quieted and dimmed. His spark is missing, but hopefully with time, and with his brothers support, he will find it again. Perhaps it's a new purpose, or perhaps its in handling his grief, and finding strength to face his newfound fears. He would never admit to his brothers that he's afraid of the very earth they walk upon... but every stallion has his secrets, and Athelstan is one of them.
