In the aftermath of the winter storm, Kawani's denizens greet the approaching spring with cautious hope. Though the frost lingers in the mountains' reaches, the thaw has arrived, and hints of the new season appear in the form of leaf buds on branches no longer bowed by snow. The following hush is broken by bird song, and the tell-tale sign of new life on the way. In some circles, now is the time to seek out alliances and renew bonds with friends and family separated by winter's grip; in others, individuals might be twitterpated, seeking out a potential mate, ever eager to show off and impress. Others still are simply eager to travel to greener pastures and savor the building warmth and the hope of an early spring. Some among the Soquili and familiars alike may be all too used to this dance, but others may find it very foreign indeed.
As the world begins to wake from the winter thaw, more and more Soquili find themselves out and about. Perhaps the winter weather had kept them at bay, but now they are here in full force, crowding the Kawani with their presence. While the competition for resources may be made all the more fierce with these strangers in the mix, some Soquili may not find their company so very loathsome after all. Then again, the rites of spring are never without some degree of drama.
How does your Soquili or familiar respond to the burgeoning Spring? Are they ready to get out there and spread their figurative (or sometimes literal) wings now that the weather is warmer? Are they out seeking new friends, new locations, or a mate? Or perhaps they are put off by all the incessant birdsong, chatty new neighbors, and twitter pated fools? Is love in the perfumed air? Or is your soq just trying to make it through the day unbothered and on a hunt for peace and quiet? The world is teaming with new life -- is your Soquili or familiar ready?

Welcome to RP Staff's monthly prompt game to encourage RP and character development! A few things to note:
These count as freebies! If you've already won a Familiar Freebie or Soquili Freebie for the designated month, then you will not be eligible for that particular prize in the RP game.
This RP Game is meant to happen monthly, RP Staff willing. Please note that the shop and/or other staff may run giveaways and hand out freebies during the same month! Players should know that by entering for this, you will be ineligible for other freebies that might be given out in the same month!
Staff are encouraged to run other games and giveaways! RP Staff just wants to give folks options and not every player in soquili RPs -- the more freebies, the better!
These pets are not limited. This means, players may walk away with the same pet design. We need to run it this way designing color-shifts because we can't possibly color everybody a unique pet, every month! Multiple people might earn and choose the same pet design, but every player is unique--therefor, the characters, stories, histories, and even future mates will likely wind up unique and different!
That said, we won't be offended if you're not keen on color-shifts. :3 Participation is optional!
Every person who qualifies will get their choice offered pet. Players will need to wait for staff to confirm the win. You may be qualified for a Soq and a Familiar, or just a Familiar! Individuals may decide among themselves whether they are actually twins/family or unrelated!

Important Information
RPs dated between 03/01/2022 to 03/31/2022 will count for this month.
You must use the prompt (noted above) as a basis of your RP!
If you Start and Finish an RP between the above date, you will automatically be given a choice of one of the color-shift Soquili and Familiar Prizes.
If you choose to write a Solo RP there must be a 1500 word count minimum over the entire RP. This can be done either in one massive story, or broken up in posts! All characters must belong to you!
If you choose to write an RP with a friend or multiple people, you must break the posts up per player and write it round-robin style. The RP must have a minimum of 5 posts per player involved, and a 1500 word count minimum total.
Players who start and finish the RP or Solo will get the choice of both the Soquili and Familiar prize!
If you Start but don't finish the RP between 02/01/2022 and 02/28/2022 you will automatically be given a choice of one of the color-shift Familiar Prizes. There is a 250 word count minimum. Alternatively, players could also simply fill out the Prompt and if it's 250 words minimum, you will be eligible for a Familiar Prize
Solos are eligible for a Familiar Prize if they are 250 words minimum.
The theme must be obvious in your RP or Prompt Response to be eligible!
Players must post individually to win their prize.
If you are eligible for both the Soquili and the Familiar prize, but only want one or the other, please let us know!
You may only win ONE Soq and ONE Familiar from this, assuming you are eligible for both!
Once you post your entry, you must wait for Nayci to confirm your pet choice! We will edit it into your entry/quote you -- do not assume you've won the pet until RP staff approves it!
Please fill out the form in its entirety. Late entries won't be included.
Do not "save" posts -- please only post in this thread once the PRP / Solo or prompt is completed!
Rules are subject to change as RP Staff figures out/tests this! We may run into questions or issues we hadn't considered, so understand we're trying our best!

Rules specific for this month's game
The prompt is a bit more open ended. Spring is usually teaming with life, and with the warming weather, soquili tend to be stirring. Some are eager to make new friends and explore the land; others still are on the hunt for something more significant, like a mate. Winter hasn't left completely, but there's warmth on the wind, and flowers starting to bloom.
How does your soquili feel about spring? Are they eager to seek out greener pastures or looking for friends? Are they hoping to find a mate and be struck by Cupid's arrow? Or maybe they just want everyone to get off their lawn and leave them alone. After such a long winter, it seems many creatures, great and small, are here to enjoy the break from the cold. How does your Soquili or Familiar fare?
If you're stuck -- you could simply have it revolve around Spring, a change in the season, new grasses and flowers growing, melting snow, thinning ice, and a lot more Soquili and Familiars out and about for whatever reason. Foal season's right around the corner after all (though we know Soq/Fams can have kids anytime) but it is the traditional time for much of nature. Think of it as spring break -- what's your Soq going to do?
Everything must take place within the specified time frame -- RPs that start early or end late won't be included.
