For the most part Tsubaki is a calm and laid down kind of girl. She is super protective of her sisters and will hurt those that make them cry. When it doesn't involve one of her sisters then she is the kind of girl who would rather talk it out then fight.

Fuji is a sweet and shy girl. She loves the flowers she is named after and even cares for some. But watch it because even this shy girl can do some damage if someone tries to hurt one of her sisters. When it comes to love Fuji isn't looking to play around. She wants someone who is just for her.

Of commanding presence, Rin is a sharp-witted diplomat who is unafraid to speak her mind, even when confronted by powerful figures.
Fierce, outspoken and headstrong, she will accomplish whichever task she imposes on herself, for she will try to put duty before her own personal needs—likely, as a result of her upbringing.
Furthermore, she doesn't care much for being high-class, as her priority is to help those who need her, and not wealth nor recognition.
In spite of her self-discipline, Rin has a fiery temper she often struggles to control, and is eager to prove herself, to be recognized for what she could do, and not her title of nobility.

My idea for her is that the bell chime (or gong) is a sound that cuts through any atmosphere. People who hear it stop whatever they are doing in order to listen.

She wants to be: cool, strong, beautiful, smart, punctual, deadly.
She wants to be the kind of person people will listen to when she speaks, and who will speak to when she is silent and listening. Someone worthy of respect.

She follows the creed. She will follow the creed no matter her job or situation. But, she wants to be a Guardian.
When she isn't doing the (apprentice?) Guardian's tasks and duties, she spends her (free)time keeping her things neat and tidy. This includes her clothing and tools.

She spends the last of her free time helping out the Teachers. She believes that proper learning in children is as essential to the future as food or shelter. She helps with performance, reciting, grading (basics), demonstration, and anything else they may ask her to do. She intends that, should she live long enough to retire, she will be wise and therefore a good candidate to become a real Teacher.

Samiko is a gentle soul with a deep love for learning and caring for others around her. Even as a foal, Samiko wanted nothing more than to show that she had the skills to be useful to her family and Herd. She soaks up knowledge like a sponge and tries to stay out of the way, though is definitely not without her habits of becoming a pest when she sees someone doing something she would love to learn more about or learn how to do even.

She aims to become a Healer or even a Teacher, taking her love of learning and passing it on to the next generation or just to those who want to learn more about something.

She loves to come up with stories and has a penchant for singing when the mood strikes her, though that isn't quite as often.

She can be excitable and may turn to babbling about something new she has learned or experienced with those who dare to stay near her long enough to become her audience.

Samiko adores helping others, and will often be found assisting the Healers in collecting herbs or helping prepare remedies.

Personality:: Ajisai is as varied as the flower for which she is named. She is a bit of a goof…okay…a lot of a goof, cracking jokes whenever and wherever she deems. This goofy attitude is often the side most often apparent to those around her; however, Ajisai can be introspective, or inquisitive, or harsh, or combative, or defensive when occasions call for it. She can be especially temperamental where friends, family, or young ones are involved. Woe be unto those who threaten or harm them. For her rage knows no bounds when lines are crossed. Her protective nature becomes more transparent where the baskets and foals in her charge are concerned. Unable to negate her instinct to guide, she keeps a furtive eye on them, even during her downtimes or while performing other duties, using presented opportunities to help them learn from successes and failures alike. Most of the time though, she is simply a gentle soul who is soft, kind, and loving to those around her. Orphans and baby animals hold an especially larger spot in her heart. To the point where she has adopted many stray creatures over the years. Some of whom have since started aiding her with teaching and nanny efforts.

Name of Pony:: Natsuko Aya – japanese meaning “summer child of color” – so named cause of her colorful and warm personality.

Personality:: While she’s not exactly the type to be bouncing up at the first ray of the sun’s light touching the sky - she really does like her sleep - she is the type to find positivity anyway she can, but she’s not overbearing in how she shows it – it just sort of radiates from her. She also very curious and loves to ask a lot of questions – which tends to leave others underestimating how truly smart she is, which honestly can be quite the way she likes it. She loves surprises. She can also quite easily kick butt in the process of asking said questions. She’s tough for being one of the smallest of the sisters -  which is why she’s sort of undecided what path she’d like to take within the herd. She’d love to be a nanny and teaching the younger generations, but she also has a protective side to her that wants to be out defending the herd any way she can as well. No matter what, she’ll happily lend a paw anywhere one is needed, tell lots of stories to keep littles entertained (not falsehoods kinda stories, but the adventure/action kind she hears from others…maybe slightly embellished, but all in good ways), advice if you ask for it, a shoulder to lean on when bad times come, loyal to a fault, takes the herd values to heart, and oh so many questions just to satisfy the curious child within. In the dark and tough times, her positivity is what makes her a natural leader – the young and the fearful take strength from her – which is why her mother pushed her towards being a Nanny, but to be quite honest? She’s glad she doesn’t and won’t ever be a leader of the herd itself. You couldn’t pay her enough to EVER even THINK about doing something like that. She just wants most to find where she fits best.

SLIGHT side note but still an explanation of her further - For those that were in HOA and knew my mares, the personality listed here is basically Natli’Ana …she’s the first mare I’ve found - that in my head - would fit her personality perfectly… ((In the battle system we had, she was the only mare to KO every opponent she went up against. The funny part, is even coloring wise - though darker in scheme - she reminds me of her…and I’ve wanted to bring a version of her here somehow or another because she’s incredibly fun to have around.)) She’s like a mix of the positivity of Princess Poppy from Trolls and then to mix in some MLP – the sort silliness of Pinkie Pie, but not QUITE as crazy…and the sweetness of Fluttershy, but tough and loyal like Applejack…but at first glance you wouldn’t guess she’s got the brains she does, and that is something you’d have to get to know her to realize just how deep she really goes. You almost can’t help but fall in love with her, she’s got that sort of draw about her.

Name of Pony:: 紅葉 (Momiji) - The alternate name for the Japanese Red Maple. Something about her color and her look reminded me of the tree, and so I took time to find the name!

Temper:: Empathetic

Personality::
Ah, the beauty in the world around her! Momiji loves the later afternoon and sunsets, the beauty of the golden light as it drifts over the world, and the absolute splendor that comes. She adores even more seeing the same awe she feels at what she sees on the faces of others. A giver to the core, she wants to make her family and friends happy, though none more so than her sisters. They are her utmost priority and love, and if they asked her for anything at all? Momiji would find a way to give it to them! Her heart is a bit more difficult to win, though not because the mare is cold or distant, no! Momiji, instead, tends to be just a bit naïve and doesn't seem to understand if someone is after her heart, or her. If Momiji were to be honest with herself? It's willful. She CAN tell, really, but she doesn't want anyone to be aware of that fact. No, she would rather make that choice in time, and on her own. This means that she might well frustrate any potential suitors, but all the same! Steadfast, loving, artistic, and warm, Momiji will be an asset to the herd and her sisters, ever devoted to the happiness of others, while safeguarding her own.  

[Jackariah Beckett]

Username:: Jackariah Beckett
Name of Pony:: kurumi Yakimono ((Kurumi is Japanese for "chestnut/walnut" which I thought matched her hide well. Yakimono is Japanese for "earthenware/pottery" which I also thought matched her markings, but also represented on all the immense personality and love she can hold inside her. ))
Temper:: Intuitive
Personality:: Kurumi has loved using her paws since the moment she was ready to come out of her basket. They knew she was ready because her little claws had started to undo the weave on part of her basket. Her favorite past times are squeezing and squishing mud through her claws. Luckily the elders of her tribe also saw a love of learning and the warmth of caring of a young healer. Soon, she was squishing mints and mixing mineral rich muds into healing salves. Mixing pain relieving rubs being one of her specialties. [In a possible rp I would like to have her find some stone hot springs, or possibly build some kind of earthen bath she can mix her homemade powders into to help heal her tribe].

She loves to explore. She doesn't much care for the exploring aspect as much as she does the hunt for new ingredients she can use. She is good with directions and hardly ever gets lost. It's been heard that if you want a guide to a nearby orchard, Kuru is the one to take you. Just make sure to tell her to take you the civilian way. Otherwise she might get distracted leading you and take you up a mountain. She's always been active so shortcuts are no problem for her.

One of Kuru's next goals is to learn some self defense and fighting techniques from the others. With that kind of knowledge she could really round out her teaching lessons to the younger ponies. When she wasn't mixing herbs, making powders and salves, or leading others to their destination, Kuru found she enjoyed teaching things to the younger herd members. She enjoyed their energy and could often lose herself in their antics.

At the end of the day, Kuru is happiest molding something in clay, listening to others talk of new recipes, or dreaming of trips she'll take.  

[Tsunake]

Name of Pony:: Kaida - a Japanese name meaning "little dragon"
Temper:: Cheeky
Personality::

Kaida is a playful, free-spirited soul, full of energy and exuberance. She is mischievous at best and enjoys nothing more than a good game or entertainment. She can be immature and childish, though never deliberately cruel. Kaida knows that if she's ever in trouble, she can turn to her sisters, and will often do so whenever she has problems. She's a natural cheerleader, and will do anything and everything to bolster the spirits of her sisters and herd mates if they're ever feeling down. She certainly isn't a warrior, but she would stand her ground to protect those she loved, even in the face of of overwhelming odds.

She adores foals and is always the first to volunteer to as a nanny, though her sense of responsibility can be questionable. Make no mistake, Kaida would never do anything to endanger her young charges! Just... the games she suggests might end up getting them all in trouble. She has undoubtedly been talked to by Daisuke about this before and was thoroughly cowed into behaving herself, so her games would err on the silly and mischievous side rather than anything too serious.

Her playfulness lends itself to imagination, and Kaida has big dreams. She longs for an incredible adventure of her own one day, and when she lends her paws to help gather supplies, she often pretends she's finally setting off. In truth, she's painfully unaware of the harsher realities of being out on her own, and she could never actually imagine leaving the comfort and safety of the herd--and her sisters--behind. She's happy to dream and play make believe, but there will undoubtedly be a time where she may be forced to grow up a little.

Though she would do anything and everything for her sisters, there is little doubt that Kaida leans on them a little too hard instead of standing on her own paws. Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, no matter how much she acts like it is. If won, I would like to focus her plots on having her slowly mature. She'll never lose her mischievous spirit, but she won't have to flee back to the safety of her sisters--not when she learns she can handle things on her own.

With a name that symbolises strength, flexibility, and adaptability, Komasa does her best to embody these traits. The strength of the bamboo allows it to stand upright and tall, no matter what forces try to push it down, while its flexibility allows it to bend and flex and not snap or break. And it has a strong root (support) system that can hold the earth together even in an earthquake.

Though on the smaller side, she is physically strong and flexible, being able to adapt and thrive in whatever environment she is placed in. And she is dependable, wanting to be the one to hold the sisters together no matter the storm.

She does have a need to travel, which she has turned to aid in her roles of scout, hunter, guardian or messenger, to help serve and protect her herd and most importantly, her family. She lives and breathes the Code, holding fast to the tenets and not wavering.

While she doesn’t try to be, she is rather rough around the edges - not able to exemplify or embrace the gentleness and grace or the feminine skills of a ‘lady’ like many of her sisters. She struggles greatly with tasks that require a delicate touch, such as any healing tasks or gardening, or dealing with younglings. She is also clueless when it comes to dealing with foals.

But no matter what is asked of her, Komasa gives her all.

Username:: Calixita
Name of Pony:: 雛芥子 (Hinageshi) - Japanese for the red poppy flower. In Hanakotoba, which is the Japanese form of the language of flowers, the hinageshi flower means fun-loving, which fits her personality well! She goes by "Hina" for short.

-- Caretaker (She takes on a caretaker sort of role for the sick and elderly; while not a healer herself, Hina makes sure they have access to food and water, that they get clean if they need help, and makes sure that their social needs are fulfilled by keeping them company.)

Hinageshi (Hina) is a kind-hearted mare with a nurturing soul. With a primary rank of nanny, she adores watching over the foals and teaching them about the world -- and always tries to make sure they have fun doing it! Although most may view her as a soft mare without a violent bone in her body, Hina would never let anyone hurt the foals -- when it comes down to it, Hina could hold her own in a fight when necessary; but never at the expense of the foals' safety, which is always her top concern. Watching the foals under her care grow up is a special kind of privilege she treasures dearly, and it means the world to her when, even after reaching adulthood, they still come to her for advice and company.

She dreams of having a family of her own some day, but often neglects her love life (and lack thereof) in favor of her duties in the herd. Watching over foals of all ages is a full time job, after all -- and it's hard to meet the love of your life when you always have a colt or filly attached to your hip! Not that she doesn't love what she does, but getting a little help with her work-life balance would go a long way in her efforts to reach a fulfilling life. Nothing would make her happier than one day raising foals of her own with a lifemate willing to join her in her herd... and nothing makes her swoon more than a stallion who's good with foals!

While Hina believes in the herd's Creed, she finds herself unable to connect with some parts of it. Yes, she would defend the foals with her life, but she certainly doesn't feel like she's a warrior. If the herd was ever under attack, she would be taking the foals to safety -- not sticking around to fight. However, it isn't because she doesn't believe in protecting one's territory or standing up to fight back -- but that in times of danger someone needs to be there to guide foals and those who are unable to fight to a safe spot while the able-bodied warriors defend them from outside threats. To her, both roles are equally important; not everyone must be a warrior. Regardless of the Creed and whether or not she sees herself in it, Hina is undoubtedly dedicated to the herd and its best interests.

Hina has the type of personality and natural warmth that makes soquili around her comfortable. She's approachable and open, able to listen without judgement, and does her best to offer advice or help when asked for it. Her ability to listen with an open mind also helps her to keep calm in nearly any situation, as she knows panicking when in danger could only lead to frightening the foals more than they likely already are. She may be terrified on the inside, but the adrenaline rush of fear helps her stay focused on what's most important at the given moment and make quick decisions. This also makes it easy for her to mask her other emotions, too -- especially sadness and loneliness. She prefers to show the world her sweet, joyful, and nurturing side; not the negative emotions she sometimes struggles with. Hina is also the type that doesn't tend to get angry... just disappointed.

She has a tendency to wear her heart on her sleeve, so to speak. Despite her sharp awareness and protectiveness of others, when it comes to herself, Hina can be too trusting with her heart and easily taken advantage of or otherwise hurt. However, as her duties in the herd rarely call for her to leave the herd lands -- especially not alone -- her exposure to the outside world is limited at best, so has yet to truly face any challenges with meeting strangers. She usually only goes out with foals on field trips close to the herd lands, and if they run into anyone else, she lets the Guardian escorting her handle the encounter while she watches over the children.

When it comes to her sisters, Hina loves them all dearly, and feels blessed to have been granted so many of them. It made getting attention from their parents difficult at times, and as a quiet kind of filly Hina was often overlooked in favor of her more outgoing siblings, but as an adult Hina wouldn't trade any of it for the world. She likes the kind of person she grew up to be and knows her family played a large role in that, both the good times and the bad -- she is grateful for it all. Hina feels closer to her sisters than anyone else in the herd, even though she's made friends with a few of the mothers of foals she's helped look after. Her sisters are the only thing Hina values above the herd; if they ever left, so would she... though she hopes that would never happen.

All things considered, Hina is... content with her life. She isn't ambitious, and is quite happy with her roles in the guild as they stand. The children make her smile every day, and caring for the sick and elderly or watching over a mother giving birth fulfills a kind of joy in her soul she can't find elsewhere. Sure, she could be happier... but she can settle for just being content, and making sure those around her find happiness instead. Genuinely, she hopes this will someday change; she wants to find happiness for herself, too, but often times she gets stuck in her head and assumes this is just her lot in life -- there couldn't be anything else.
