Alarick was thrilled for his sixth years, they were the ones that were actually interested in charms, the ones that willingly came back to his class after their OWL exams. Of course, they hadn't had only him for a professor, so maybe their previous professor was the real MVP, but Alarick would take the win.

He began writing the lesson for today, Aquamenti. He wondered if he should set out some fires, to give a practical example... he shrugged, deciding to instead soak one of the students if they misbehaved - it was harmless enough.

(AH-gwah-MEN-tee)
- Conjures a clean jet of drinkable water from the wand
- Could be considered transfiguration

Fun (but unnecessary) facts:
- Can counter the Fire Making Spell
- Is useless against fiendfyre
- Aqua in Latin means "Water" and "Menti" is Latin for "to or for the mind"

Alarick had yet to make his chalkboard into something he loved, he was almost to the point to have it spelled perfectly when he left for the year, and even though he had been back for a while he had to start from scratch on his spell work on it, curse their temporary charms teacher having wiped the board clear of past charms.

There were some kids that did better in charms than others, but they were all kids and learning beautifully.

It was just past winter break, he hoped that this wouldn't be too cold of weather for teaching this, or maybe they would summon a flock of birds and they could watch them migrate warmer.

"Hello Peter!" He smiled at his sixth years as another entered, "Hi Tink!" He continued with random name calling as they walked in, "Ah Hook, any crocodiles out for you today?"

- this spell comes from the latin Avis for bird
- This spell may be capable of blocking the Killing Curse; if the curse hit the birds before the caster, it is possible that this would negate the curse. {untested}

Noah came into class to the words, "Hello Peter." His mind immediately went to Spider-Man but moved quickly to Peter Pan when Professor Knapp called another student 'Tink'. He smiled to himself a bit. He knew Professor Knapp didn't mean anything significant by it, but he'd happily take being called Peter Pan. Though there was also more than one interpretation of the Peter Pan stories that he had read where being compared to him wasn't exactly flattering. He knew full well he was putting too much thought into it. He just shook his head to himself and took a seat.
