xxxASTRONOMY ~ EExxx
- ■ The stars were beautiful, and learning about the planets was useful. Flora Helen wondered how they all came together into one world and decided during her fifth year that she would hyper-fixate on Astronomy. She couldn’t tell you all of the moons, or what planets had rings, but she could point out the various stars in the sky, could tell you when a planet was within a star sign what it meant, and new quite a bit about mars. Somehow, she did just well enough to get an EE.
xxxCHARMS ~ Txxx
- ■ Flora Helen had forgotten she had a charms exam. It wasn’t like she had been looking forward to it, but she had been cramming for all the other exams and had her bed curtains pulled - she imagined her dorm mates had just...forgotten she was in there. As a result of not showing up - she got a Troll.
xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Axxx
- ■ Flora Helen did fine on the written portion of the exam, just spitting out facts about random things. She could do that. But when it came to the practical exam she went to face a boggart, opened the door, and a hoard of random strangers came out all talking gibberish at her at once. She began to panic and threw her hands over her ears and collapsed in a worry. The proctor put the boggart away, Flora Helen ran out of the room, whispering “ridiculous.”
xxxHERBOLOGY ~ Oxxx
- ■ Flora Helen loved herbology, important that she did since she ran the herbology club. She thought Miss Aspen would be proud of her exam, and how she handled the club. She extracted the pus from the plants without hurting herself and being most efficient, and breezed through the written exam.
xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ Pxxx
- ■ Flora Helen hated history. Who cared about old dead guys - they were pointless. It wasn’t like the past mattered, it was the future that was important, keep looking forward. The past sucked. She gave a half hearted attempt at the exam, answered a handful of questions, and then decided to ust not do any of the practical essay.
xxxPOTIONS ~ Axxx
- ■ Flora Helen was good at the ingredients part of potions, she could tell you what anything was, and it’s best uses. When it came to combining all of the ingredients in order, she was next to helpless. She started the potion brewing of the practical correctly, but then she must have stirred the wrong way or had the heat too high, as the cauldron began bubbling over and spewing everywhere - thankfully not hurting anyone, but significantly docking her grade.
xxxTRANSFIGURATION ~ Axxx
- ■ Transfiguration was so-so. It didn’t have plants, but it usually didn’t end with exploding anything either so Flora Helen wasn’t worried about that. Excet she did know that there was a chance for transfiguration to go very wrong very quickly. That’s why when she was asked to demonstrate the vanishing spell on a kitten, she very worriedly cast the spell, but you could still see the cats butt. Close, but not quite.

xxxCARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES ~ Axxx
- ■ Flora Helen loved the practical - she got to takecare of a little bowtruckle and play with him. She wanted desperately to take the lil guy with her, but the proctor bribed the bowtruckle away. She did decently on the written or so she thought. Who cared what the classification of a bowtruckle was? One X (wrong). Nifflers liked shiny objects, but weren’t hippogriffs the things that were like a camel with a flamingo?
xxxCURSE BREAKING ~ Pxxx
- ■ After doing semi-acceptable on the written portion of the exam, Flora Helen panicked with the practical portion. She looked at the objects closely, forgetting she was a witch who could use spells, then picked up the book with a “This one is not cursed” ...and passing out from the curse that had been put on it. Clearly - curse breaking was not her strong suit in practical purposes.
xxxDIVINATION ~ EExxx
- ■ Flora Helen had always been exceptionally good at Divination. When she did her practical she saw blue fog and a boat with a starry night. She described it then looked up to the proctor, a lifepath, protection, health and happiness, and being peaceful. She reflected it toward her new life with Miss Elysia. However, she messed up quite a few of her written portion of the exam - she hated the history aspects of the test.
xxxWANDLORE ~ Oxxx
- ■ Flora Helen was saved in wandlore, it being taught by her favorite professor. She spent many hours asking Miss Elysia follow-up questions about everything, until it was crystal clear. Miss Elysia was the one professor Flora Helen wasn’t shy towards, the one she could count on for anything. Flora Helen also didn’t want to disappoint her parent, she probably spent too much time studying for the exam. But she knew a lot more about wands than she thought she would have if not for Miss Elysia’s extra lessons.
