Walking down a winding path you come across a wooden sign nailed to a tree. The painted letters are cracked, peeling, almost faded to the point of illegibility. Squinting, you can just make out the words "Wazzit Temple" and an arrow pointing to your left. Turning, you can just make out a path in the overgrown weeds. Curiosity gets the better of you and you decide to follow the path.
There is a desert land on one side and a swamp on the other. A shiver crawls down your spine at the melding of the different environments in one small area. Walking down the path makes the feeling worse, like the area itself is watching while you travel.
As you reach the clearing a temple comes into view. It looks like it's in the midst of repairs. Some of the columns have vines growing on them, the overgrown weeds and plants of the path having struck this area as well. There are a few statues with broken pieces collected near their bases, as if someone was playing a puzzle and trying to put the right piece back on the right statue. The fountain at the entrance burbles with cool, clear water but you can tell that it's only recently been cleaned. There's residue of moss and plants around some of the edges.
This is the area of the Goddess Devi, who controls the elements. Earth, Air, Fire, and Water all obey her commands, and the Wazzit worship her as their personal Goddess. She is not evil, but neither is she good.
