User ImageThe party had gone on entirely too long for Bennett's taste. Thankfully, she had managed to avoid running into Anita. It wasn't that she wasn't supposed to be there, it was just that she didn't want her father to know she was there. She had been spending less and less time at the Cemetery, and she wasn't keen on a father/daughter heart to heart at the moment. Bennett was definitely keeping more than one secret at the moment, from her alignment with Grendel, to her relationship with Faustus. It wasn't the time or the place to have a family squabble. Though, after the events of the night, it may have gone unnoticed.

The party had been interesting, to say the least. Many of the Disciples had shown up, as well as their Antedeluvian's. Giovanni had even shown up. Yet another reason she was glad Ashur had not come; the two still had not come face to face. Then the party crashers. Younger vampires. Clanless. The odd mortals. The truly interesting...appearances, if you could call them that, were the gods. The oldest of the old ones. Bennett had not overlooked Grendel's presence, but she was also aware of a different power, one she was less familiar with. That one didn't linger though.

However, as the party had dwindled down, Bennett had spotted one particularly interesting vampire. One whose mismatched eyes were an exact mirror of her own. Bennett had slipped into the shadows, watching the other girl curiously. Never had she imagined she would meet her sister, but the longer she observed, the more certain she was that this was her. The purple tones in her bangs, the rosaries draped around her paws. There was no doubt this was her.

Not willing to confront her in the house, Bennett had slipped out to the grounds, waiting. She stood in the gardens, doused in moonlight as she watched the party-goers wander off into the night. Waiting...she had waited a lifetime to find her sister...she could wait a while longer. Her paws began to draw the rosaries from her wrists through her paws, an old habit she didn't even notice anymore. One, two, three... She counted the beads as they passed through her claws.

User Image Andromeda had been at the party in search of her father. She was always on the look out now for him. She had learned his name, she knew what he looked like. Now she needed to find him. But as almost all the parties she went to, she hadn't found him here.

Even now as she began to wander from the house, she felt the defeat sink in. It would be dawn soon and here she was, waiting for him to show up. he probably didn't even know she existed. Why would he show up? Of course he didn't know she existed. That was why she was out her. Actively searching for him.

Andromeda let out a sigh. Had she been looking for anyone else but Ashur, she might have spotted the vampire not to far from her, with the same purple bangs and mismatched eyes.

"I'm never going to find him am I?" Andromeda plopped down onto the dirt and flung her paws out into the grass. It was cool to the touch and a little dewy. She leaned back and fell to the ground, staring up into the sky, staring at the stars.

"One.... two.... three....Perseus....Cassiopeia....Andromeda........."

The girl froze, anticipating that she would be spotted as the one who must be her sister exited into the very same gardens in which Bennett stood. Instead, the other just flopped onto the ground, seeming to pout over not finding someone she had been looking for. She swallowed a scoff, rolling her eyes at lack of grace as the other girl just sprawled into the grass. It was so evident that their upbringings had been different. Bennett would never just throw herself into the grass and throw, what seemed to be, a tantrum. But then a small smile twitched across her lips as she heard the counting. "One, two, three..." The weight of her rosaries suddenly felt light in her paws. Seemed they did share some habits, Bennett mused as her sister began naming the constellations. What else would they have in common? Would she even care? Or would they be as they always had been? Strangers.

Wrapping her beads back around her paws, she watched her sister, surprised that she was still unnoticed. The girl must be lost in her own thoughts. Bennett knew that well. It's how her own mate had watched her unnoticed for some time before they met. Another soft smile flickered across her face. What would Faustus have to say when she told him of tonight?

There was time to think of that later though. Now was the time to take a step. Meet this girl. Steeling herself, she made her way across the garden.

"Did you know, if you are only looking for something specific, you often overlook some very interesting things..." There was a slight teasing to her tone, a defense over her uncertainty over meeting this girl. Her sister. If her heart beat like a mortal, surely it would have been racing. This was something that she had never imagined would have happened tonight. Yet here was the moment. Now what? She wondered as she crouched near Andromeda, eyes waiting to meet the mirrored ones.
