A noticeably large figure stood out against the moonlit, star speckled sky. It looked nearly the shape of a dragon with wings stretched out in mid-glide, a sharp-tipped tail dragging lazily in the wind behind it. The creature would circle an area as if searching for something specific and then dart away, clearly not having found it.
Masahiro did not ask for much. He had never asked for much. Peace and quiet, as he had no place to call his own, were what his desires boiled down to. Exploration for a safe little nook to call his own among the other Deities had landed him in an unnecessary social situation in which he met a family member. There were too many of them to meet but perhaps it was a little impressive that he had managed to dodge all of them entirely for this long. It had not been an experience that he would label as awful but he struggled to find a fitting word for it. It was not... not pleasant.
The deity had sought refuge in Faetasia proper which had landed the hermit in yet another social exchange so he had taken to explore Hemlock next. He did not have the time to process whether that was last one was not not pleasant yet. What he could know for certain was that he were exhausted and the population felt wildly out of control. Everywhere he looked there were kats of all kinds, scattered throughout the land. Masahiro supposed that should be seen as a good thing, the sign of a thriving ecosystem and all. However, he did not.
He viewed it as exhausting. Exhausting and uncomfortable and nearly impossible to find a place to rest. To recharge his batteries. To prepare for the next social entanglement that would be hurled at him as the world was bursting with live beings that were too social for their own good. It was... off putting. There had only been one being that had ever grabbed his attention, caused his ears to perk and his head to tilt curiously to the side. She had vanished without a single word, taking his son along with her. The god found it increasingly difficult to find anyone interesting after that.
After what felt like hours of searching he finally found what he thought would be a spot to rest in solitude. Descending from the sky, the ground shook and leaves rattled off of dying trees with his aggressive landing. Wings stretched fully before settling to his back while he turned, pale blue eyes scanning the area for any signs of life that may have been hiding in the shadows of the treeline.

The territory the stranger god had wandered into was that of the Zamphir Goddess. Even the mountain peaks where Dacian found himself was Vesira's domain. It was these mountains that were the dark angelic's longtime home, where he had long served alongside Demosthenes before his brother-in-arms had taken up his rightful place as angelique to the goddess herself. At present, the dark angelic observed from his place among the rocks, a flicker of curiosity filling him as the stranger approached.
He did not speak initially, taking in the sight of Masahiro, noting his distinctive stature. The landing the god made sent a quiver throughout the land nearby, of leaves shaking and trees trembling. Even the ground shook as he approached. At length, Dacian spoke. "You seem lost." Or else, seemed that he had lost something or someone... but the dark angelic did not elaborate.

The deity's face twisted into a dark scowl at the mere sound of the voice. It was not that it was an unpleasant voice to be heard, rather just that he was being spoken to at all. Whatever deity of Fortune existed was keen to not smile upon him as of late. They were scowling down at him, surely. Masahiro spun to face the owner of the voice and the low, guttural growl produced from him was cut short. The annoyance written clearly on his face faltered, fading away for just a moment. Striking blue eyes, pale fur and hair that cascaded over shoulders, grey feathered wings... Who was... this? Lost... the word brought him back to reality and a scowl appeared once more, though perhaps not as intense as before. Lost was an astute observation about Masahiro, both inward and outward. "What of it?"

Dacian folded his wings onto his back and regarded the stranger. "There are two possibilities: either you are lost and wish to be found... or you're lost and you wish to stay that way. Which is it?" He settled down against a rock, leaning with a quiet confidence. Though the other was a god and certainly quite a large one, Dacian was no slouch. Moreover... he didn't sense a threat from this deity. Something else, though.
Something about the way the stranger looked at him. He quirked a brow. "Welcome to Vesira's territory," he added. Since he hadn't done the honors, he gave a neat, quick bow. "The name's Dacian." Normally he wasn't quite this chatty, but he'd long learned that gods expected a certain level of manners. So here he was, trying them out for size.

The God reminded himself that he would not fall prey to a pretty face again. Or even an ugly one, for that matter. It came too easily to him to switch off that part of his mind, and without further distraction, he rolled his shoulders backward and then upward into a shrug. Which is it? It was something to contemplate for a moment and so the deity took it upon himself to move to a nearby boulder to sit. "I do not have the answer to that." Pale blue gaze regarded Dacian cautiously but... he was exhausted. He needed to rest and perhaps he would give up his search for solitude and return to his father's temple. The thought was not pleasant, to return to a place so full of memories. Perhaps he did not wish to remain lost and that is why he was insistent on roaming. Was he looking for a new home, or just to disappear himself? "Vesira. I recently met one of her daughters." A relative of his, however distant it was. Not so distant that it did not count. "Masahiro." He could hear the tired edge in his voice and it annoyed him. He could not let his guard down. "I am not here to stir trouble. I will leave after I have rested."

At the god's words, Dacian quirked an eyebrow. "Interesting. Lost you may be, but unwelcome you are not. There is no need to leave, unless you wish to leave. She's not here." Nor was Dacian inclined to tell his goddess about her visitor. She undoubtedly knew and didn't care. He was not a vampire, after all... or a vampire god. At present, Masahiro did not appear to exhibit any threat. More than anything, he seemed tired.
"I can leave, myself, if you prefer to be left alone," he added. Although... it seemed like it would be a shame, if so. There was something about Masahiro that made him want to get to know the god. It was not his great height, although he had noticed that. "Which daughter did you meet?" he asked as an afterthought. Vesira had many descendants, after all. Some that even Dacian was not familiar with.

The deity kept his guard up but gave a nod of acknowledgement at the permission he had been granted. There was a small, brief flash of something in his pale gaze -- appreciation, maybe. It was too difficult to discern with how abruptly it had come and gone but it would not be unreasonable to come to the conclusion that a tired entity being allowed a moment to rest would be thankful. Masahiro did not allow his intense gaze to linger too long on Dacian, having the distinct feeling that it would be unwise to do so; it would not bode well for his 'not falling prey to a pretty face' mentality. He turned his attention elsewhere while Dacian spoke, just beginning to drag his claws through his hair to free it of tangles and debris, when he answered sharply. "No." His tone had been growling and guttural, and it would have caused him embarrassment if it were not overridden by self reflecting disgust. At least he managed to pull a rational reasoning out of thin air to cover his tracks. "If you go, the next that happens by may not be as tolerant of my intrusion." The god sighed in agitation as he came upon a particularly stubborn knot in his hair, a twig wrapped up in it from a nap he had taken hours ago that had only been long enough to stave off exhaustion until he landed here. Here being a place that looked like it was only another pit stop. "Eriannia." At least he had still managed to answer the question while arguing with this damn twig.

Something flickered in the god's gaze that made Dacian suddenly bold. From the first moment they'd met, he'd felt it. Whether he'd admitted it to himself or not hardly mattered. There was a connection there, one that would soon be too substantial to ignore. Closing the distance between them, Dacian stared at the god, reaching out a hand to free one of those long locks of a rather large twig. With his hand still close to his face, he leaned in, and planted a bold kiss on his lips.
The electricity between them was palpable, and quite suddenly far more than he'd ever expected. He was being too bold. Leaning back slightly, he glanced up into Masahiro's face. "I've been taken liberties," he said, idly untangling one of those locks. "Perhaps I should leave after all." The temptation was, after all, far too much. He could not help assisting the god with the tangled mess of his hair, however, and found that he was absently denuding it of the debris that had found it. "Eriannia... I admit, I do not know her well."

A growl rumbled in Masahiro's chest when the dark angelic approached and boldly reached out to touch him. It was just his hair, which should not be something to get the least bit defensive over but this was not a deity that was adjusted to being touched. His experience with love had been intense, meaningful and deep but... brief. Dacian had located a most annoying twig and the god forced himself to settle. His own hands, which had taken pause the moment he was approached, returned to the task of fighting against debris and knots. The bold press of lips against his own caught him entirely off guard. Masahiro hadn't expected the electric sensation, his shoulders jolting in response. His dark pelt bristled and another grumble escaped him. This one was low and guttural. His pale gaze shifted to the dark angelic. His pretty face. No, up close he changed his mind. Dacian was not merely pretty but beautiful. He had the misfortune of bravely kissing a deity that had no social skills to speak of. One of the god's large hands was quick to abandon it's task, wrapping around Dacian's throat. This was not meant to be a display of aggression. Masa was careful not to squeeze, to mind his strength while leaning forward to close the distance. Another kiss stolen, the touch of one set of lips to another. "I've taken them as well. Stay." His hand slipped away and returned to his hair though his gaze did not move, did not look to focus on anything other than him. "She was... tolerable."That was the scale with which he used to pass his judgement upon others; tolerable or insufferable.

The sudden escalation from kissing to the god's hand around his throat made Dacian shiver in a way that probably wasn't appropriate for polite company. He exerted iron control over himself to avoid completely giving away his internal thoughts... although it occurred to him that the deity could have read them if he so desired. Instead of stealing another kiss, when he was freed he went back to freeing that glorious hair. What Masahiro had gotten himself into, he did not know. But he did know that he wanted him. Wanted him to be comfortable and well groomed as a good should be.
Not that he expected Masa to do the grooming himself. It just showed a lack of care, something missing from the god's life. Idly, he untangled another lock from around a twig, and found that when the twig gave way, a small branch followed. What had the god been up to, exactly. "Very well. I cannot argue with your logic," he admitted. He'd taken liberties, the god had taken liberties. In his way, he was still taking them. "Mm... well, I have never known any of Vesira's children to be less than tolerable. But then... I don't know them very well." He was, after all, only a dark angelic. Not Vesira's chosen.

It felt right. It felt... comfortable, the way that his hand fit so snug around the dark angelic's throat. Almost as if it belonged there. It had been a passing thought with a passing motion. Nothing that lingered too long, didn't grant him the luxury of settling; feeling was fleeting, nothing he allowed at length. So as much as he did enjoy being groomed to some extent, to have twigs and branches and debris freed from his hair by careful claws and skilled fingers, a growl built in his chest until it was bursting. Masahiro shifted, adjusted his hands, snatched those wrists, pushed those attentive hands forcefully away from him. There was a pause. His eyes snapped shut and his brows furrowed, an almost pained expression as memories tried to bubble up that he stubbornly stamped down. A pale, glaring gaze slipped to Dacian's face. How long would it be before he, too, looked at him in fear? How long until he felt dissatisfied and disappointed? Mischa had, eventually. Even though she had promised him forever. His lips brushed the knuckles of the right hand that he held by the wrist. The god was rising to his feet, releasing his hold, turning away. He'd spare them both the problems that would follow. "It was nearly pleasant to meet you," because that was the best he could give. He didn't grow bonds the way that others did. If Dacian was after some fully invested partner, he wouldn't find it here. Masahiro could not give him that.

Somewhere in all of this, it had not really settled into Dacian what it meant when a god and a dark angelic danced like this. Or even that the male before him was a god. That wasn't the important piece. It was something else. The thing you know in your gut. In your bones. The thing that doesn't let you go until you acknowledge it for what it is.
"The pleasure was nearly mine," Dacian said, his hand tingling slightly. He took hold of Masahiro's hand and pulled him in for another kiss, feeling unaccountably bold. "Hmmm... better." He couldn't imagine what the god was thinking, other than apparently desiring to leave.
