There were very few things that held Kaveh's attention for very long. He got bored with routine and often went looking for trouble for the sake of feeling something. Being a vampire could be very boring. At first it had seemed like the best thing in the world, back when he had been young and still had his mother's favor. He had lost that with age. Stopped being cute and thus Gigi had lost interest. Not too uncommon with vampires, and Kaveh had gotten over it long past. But the boredom? Now that wasn't exactly something he was interested in.

Thus, he had made some unsavory friends. Various vampires from various groups, those who had a habit of being far more violent than they should have been for clanless vampires, and a few other faces he knew but hadn't been around. A few even stood out in the small crowd that was crammed in the backroom of a restaurant that was already a shoebox. Kaveh could clearly the smell the various meals being cooked out front for mortals. He doubted any of them knew that the establishment was run by vampires for... various reasons, Kaveh was sure.

But he wasn't in with a good crowd and he stared down at his cards wondering how long he could keep his bluff up. The game was Texas Hold 'Em. Kaveh had already lost a decent amount of money, but what was money to a vampire? It came and went just like everything else that was fleeting. Still there was a decent amount of chips in the pot. Kaveh tapped a few fingers on the modest pile he had before pushing it all to the center. "All in." There was a slight smile on his lips before he pushed it all forward with one paw, waiting for reactions around the table. Was he bluffing? Absolutely? Did he give two shits? Absolutely not. Time to act cool as the blood not running through his veins.

Things had been relatively quiet for the band while they scouted out talent, and that meant X had a lot more free time on his hands. Unfortunately, this wasn't necessarily a good thing for the rockstar, who tended to do everything he could to keep himself from, well, himself. So it was, X had to work extra-hard to find some sort of distraction. If he wasn't knocking boots with someone, he was out on the hunt, keeping the beast at bay, or otherwise looking for something to kill time. All a vampire had was time.

So it was, X was often fast and loose with his money. If he wasn't buying drinks at some club or bar or courtesan hall, he was throwing it around buying s**t he didn't need, purchasing smokes and other sundry things, or placing bets and gambling. Lately he had fallen in with a group of individuals that were nothing but bad news. It didn't really bother the vampire, who was self-assured enough to figure he could get out any jam he found himself in. He did keep his clothing dark, his accessories to a minimum, and the beanie he wore hid his colorful hair. He didn't exactly look the bassist of the Graverobbers, and that was just as well for him. He didn't want to be that right now... he wanted to be just an unmemorable face at the table.

So it was, he looked at his hand, then he looked at the golden coated vampire across from him. His hand wasn't great, but that didn't matter to X. There were chips to be had, and what was gambling without a little risk? Someone could have something...or it could be a bluff. Gods above he was bluffing -- how much luck did he have? He figured he'd find out in a few.

"All in," he parroted, pushing his own pot forward. It wasn't like he was hurting for it, after all.

All in. Kaveh looked up at the vampire who spoke after him. He was... wildly easy to remember. Bright colors, a look about him different from everyone at the table, and one that Kaveh couldn't help but admire. To stand out so much against everyone else was bold. Kaveh wasn't far off, considering how bright his own clothing was, but the other was just a step above everyone else.

If two of them were attempting to go all in, then there was a very large chance that Kaveh's bluff wasn't going to fly very well at all. He lifted a brow slightly at the brightly adorned man, before following the trail of who else was participating. The next two folded, flopping their cards down on the table with a large frown on their lips. It was true that at least one person was going to be removed, either Kaveh or the other one at least, but that meant one of them was about to pull ahead of where the others might have been. Weighing and calculating their odds until the fae right next to Kaveh on the right decided to meet their mark. He went all in too.

Kaveh glanced in his direction as well, before the dealer nodded and flipped over the final card in the dealer's section. The river round was over, and that final card? It gave Kaveh a triple, but it was a low card score and could easily be defeated by any number of good hands. Time to show. Kaveh flipped over his cards, showing that low pair to go along with its third, smiling almost sheepishly as he did. The brightly colored man was next, and hopefully there wouldn't be anything too odd to follow.
