Sin had been exploring near his home for a while, he had learnt much of the plants nearby and the other soquili he had met that were willing to share what they knew. He had found some of the healers most helpful, they knew a lot about several plants and how to use them to heal and harm. And it was this that interested him. His family had found his interest in poisons and poisonous plants odd to say the least. But as he had asked questions he had found that it was more than that. But now he needed to venture further, he had learnt as much as he felt he could while remaining close to his family. So he had picked a direction and was going to go that way and explore and learn what he could there. What harms, what heals and what does both. There must be other plants he had never seen in different places. He didn’t so much want to be a healer, but he was interested in making medicines and he was loath to admit poisons, for they too had a place and role to play in life.
He had spent the winter planning and gathering things he would need for the journey. Now spring had arrived and he could finally get underway. Looking back he could see the path he had travelled towards the distant mountains already that morning. He had a good day or more of walking before he would need to start paying attention again. That would be around the edge of the territory that he had explored in this direction. His gaze returning to the distant mountains, tossing his long green mane as he picks up his pace a little, he would enjoy this new part of his learning. Without realising it he found himself trotting along the familiar path. This was the start of an adventure he had waited a long time for. A smile stretching his lips as he made his way, each step taking him further away from home and closer to the unknown.
