Who are the Banu Haqim?

At the far reaches of Faetasia, where the shadows are long and the earth seems abandoned, the Banu Haqim have made their stronghold. Far from the political mess the other clans have made, the Banu Haqim (also known as Assamite’s, though they themselves only use that name when it suits them) keep themselves apart, focused on their own pursuits.

They are talented assassins, their skills bought at a high price, masters of the blade who clean up the mess other vampires leave behind, by whatever means necessary. But more importantly they are warriors, scholars and protectors. They pride themselves in their skills and spend their unlife focused and aware.

Very few are invited within the stronghold but those that do will find a large expansive and peaceful space. Of course there are training rooms, with sand on the floor to soak up blood, but the most populated areas are the gardens and the lounges, where pillows are scattered and vitae-laced tea is always brewing; and the libraries, with countless books and scrolls, records of the past, are tenderly kept.

It’s quiet, plenty of space for contemplation.

The Banu Haqim are not what the outside world presumes.

And they will never know the truth.

Our Strengths

Celerity, Obfuscate, Quietus, Auspex, Presence, Assamite Sorcery, Blood Sorcery

Celerity: is a Discipline that grants vampires supernatural quickness and reflexes.
Obfuscate: is a Discipline that allows vampires to conceal themselves, deceive the mind of others, or make them ignore what the user does not want to be seen.
Quietus: is the signature Discipline of the Assamites that grants them influence over the blood of others.
Auspex: is a Discipline that grants vampires supernatural senses.
Presence: is the Discipline of supernatural allure and emotional manipulation which allows Kindred to attract, sway, and control crowds.
Assamite Sorcery: is a form of blood magic practiced by Assamite Kindred/Sorcerers. It is a very old form of magic, drawing from a huge variety of mortal religious traditions, and pre-dating Thaumaturgy, which it resembles in many ways.
Blood Sorcery: refers to the magic performed by vampires, fueled by religious or occult practices and the power of Cainite vitae.

Assassins: The Banu Haqim follows the warrior arts, striking from the shadows, becoming one with the blade.

Diablerie: not a skill but a necessary sacrifice. A word used to describe the act of drinking another vampire's blood and drawing their soul into one's own. While most other vampires see it as the ultimate evil, a horrendous act, the Banu Haqim will accept no barrier to achieving their goals. Diablerie is simply another means to an end. Another weapon.

Clan Relationships

With the rise of Grendel and a new batch of disciples, Zalaam is taking a neutral stance towards all the other clans until they prove themselves as friend or foe. They shall forever remain above politics but may offer their services more readily to those who take a friendly stance.
