[SRP] A Forest, water and some jumping (Wispin)

Prompt: You wake up in the forest. How you got there isn’t important right now. But the thing is that you’ve been given a time limit by a sinister voice who acts like this is just the first round in some demented game. Whether or not you really want to play, you do know that you don’t want to stay here.

Wispin slowly woke up and started to look around in an unfamiliar place. He didn’t seem to recognize anything and it was a bit confusing to him. Where was he and how did he get here? He didn’t know this but he knew he wanted to leave right now! He seemed to be in the middle of a forest and one that was sort of strange somehow. Something didn’t feel quite right. He quietly started to walk around when he heard a voice talking to him. He was called a fool and challenged to get out of the forest. This voice was rather sinister sounding and it seemed best to do what it said by leaving the forest quickly. He started to shout at the voice “Who are you and where am I?” he didn’t get any answers. “What am I doing here? Get me out of here!” He voice only laughed and told him to hurry and get out on time. He only had two hours to do so, so he was told to be quick. Not that Wispin wasn’t going to try and leave as fast as he could. He didn’t want to spent any extra minute here. The sooner he was out of here and back home the better. He was going to find a way out himself.

Obstacle 1
It wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be as he just discovered he wasn’t just in a forest but also on some sort of an island. Or rather a large rock or large chunk of land because it wasn’t really big what he was standing on. He had to cross some water to get off. This wouldn’t be such a problem if there was something strange with the water. Wispin looked down at the river dividing him from the rest of the land and saw something move. Did he just saw large teeth there? Or was his mind playing tricks with him? No he saw it correctly he told himself. There where really big fish in there that looked rather ferocious and maybe try and eat you? Their bites would most definitely hurt so swimming wasn’t an option this time.

He looked for something that could help him. Maybe a log so the could float? Well nothing like this to see her he said to himself a bit disappointed. He look for other options when the spotted that there where several rocks and boulders sticking out of the water at different places. May be could try and jump over? The boulders did look slippery and he feared he may end up in the water after all but it was the only option so he was going to try. He walked back some bit and gained a little speed and jumped at one of the boulders. It was a success but he now had to get to the next one and he know didn’t have enough room to gain speed like before. He just hope for the best and jumped and the next one. Succes again as he landed perfectly in the middle of this one. He was quite proud of himself and felt that he was going to make it to the other side of the river. “Good job” he whispered at himself. He now only had one boulder to go till he could get on land. This one was a little further away and the one he was standing on now was really small. Was he going to make it to that rock over there? He really tried his best to jump as far as possible but it wasn’t enough. With a big splash he landed in the water this time and panicked. He was close to land now. He felt a fish that started to bite him. He kicked the fish of and panicking threw himself at the ground nearby. He was able to get on the edge and on dry land.

He was soaked and a bit scared now but on land and on the other side of the river away from the tiny island. He could now continue through the forest and find a way out.

obstacle 2
The voice was back telling him that time was slowly running out. “Tick, tock” and he was called a fool again. Now that he was away from the tiny island getting out was going to be simple. Just keep walking he thought to himself. He slowly started to realize that this part of the forest looked like a big maze. After walking a while he found himself back at a place he was before. Was he walking in circles now? He was really sure he was walking forward in a almost straight line but apparently not… Oh no! He just had to focus he told himself and started to walk again. He looked around and looked very closely at every detail around him. Looking at every tree and bush and rock. He came past a patch of flowers he was before and he had seem them left from him so now he was going the other way. He saw more familiar rock and flowers and started to follow that till he saw something new. He wasn’t walking in circles anymore and he was sure to get closer to the exit now. He kept walking in what felt to him as a straight line and didn’t see the same thing over and over again anymore. He could see the end of the forest now in the distant. He was plains and a lake futher away. He started to walk a little faster. He was almost there he just knew it. Happily he walked closer and closer to what he was sure what the end of the forest.

When he finally got there, it did feel like it took way to long, he got another surprise. And not a really good one. There was a high ledge there that seemed to almost go around the whole forest? Or it did seem to go around for a really long and so walking around it wasn’t going to work. He had to jump over it. It however did look a bit to high for him to jump. It didn’t help that the wasn’t really all this tall. “Okay let’s just try this” he said as he didn’t have a choice. He gained speed again and jumped as high as he could and ended up back on the ground. So that didn’t work. He tried again a bit harder this time and it sort of worked. The now landed with this belly on the ledge with his front legs over the front and his back legs over the other end dangling around. He tried to move away from there but he only moved his legs in the air rather silly looking. It didn't do anything. Wispin then moved his weight more to the front and he slowly started to slide to the other side. This suddenly speeded up and he landed on the other side with quite a bang. It was very unpleasant to land like that because it did hurt a bit but now he was on the other side. He rushed at the end of the forest and ran out. He was very happy to be out of the forest and probably home soon. Was he on time? Wispin had no clue but to him it didn’t matter anymore.

He was out of the forest now and probably save.
