 Sitting cross legged on the floor of her room is a blue lady humming softly. Fortuna is seeing with her inner eye, watching all. When out with others she wears a long sparkly gown. When alone or seering she wears blue silk lounge pants and a top. Long hair cascades around her like a waterfall, both in color and fluidity.
The foretelling Vampress has been sitting here for over an hour when she senses someone coming to her room. Switching her sight to her sapphire eyes, she stands now. “Come in Sir.” Although the ‘young’ lady has yet to meet him, she can see it’s the new leader of her Clan.
Fortuna is a very devout Salubri. One born into the Clan and has been observing everyone and everything. She is one to use every sense and all sight blessed to her.

 Callum had come to welcome one of their members. Fortuna. It was customary for him. He wanted to get to know everyone. And he had high hopes for Fortuna in particular as she seemed very caring and devoted to Salubri Clan life. He also wanted to make sure she was enjoying her stay. He wanted her to know if she had any complaints she could always come to him. He opened the door, stepping quietly inside. “Greetings,” he said. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything. But I wished to speak with you. Is it alright if we both take a seat?” he asked, motioning for her to relax and join him in discussion. He kneeled down, sliding into a sitting position on the floor with his legs bent as if he were about to meditate. His long hair pooled around him as he took a deep breath. “I would like to formally welcome you to the home of the Salubri. And let you know you can always come to me if you need anything. I’m glad you’ve decided to join us here at the manor.”

At the request she nods, motioning him inside. She is quiet and contemplative as Callum speaks. Sitting facing him Fortuna smiles softly. ”Thank you Sir. It is both an honor and a privilege to be welcome here. I appreciate it. I was watching the horizon over those here. I hope to guide and protect as best as I can.”
As they speak she fills two tea cups with a special blend. Offering him one, she sips her own tea. ”If I may, you seem… intrigued. Perhaps pensive under it, but definitely a curiosity about you. Is there some way that I might help you?” Carefully guarded, few can read her; though if anyone can it would be Callum. He might sense her desire to belong, mixed with her odd caring. Fortuna isn’t cold or distant, nor is she a loner per se. What she is, is protective and caring. At least as much as the damned can care for another creature.
The truth is, Salubri is her calling. It wasn’t just where she was born into, it’s a piece of her undead soul. The female cares though it’s about the clan itself. Nothing and no one outside of the Salubri.

“Thank you.” Callum reached out to take the tea. He took a sip, and smiled. “Delicious.” He listened to Fortuna speak. His gray eyes seemed to light up at her question. “Well actually, I’m glad you asked. Perhaps we could talk about your rank. I’ve noticed the way you care for others, and put others' needs before your own. And your skills in healing and nursing others is grand. Do you perhaps wish to move up the ladder here? I know I could use the assistance. You see…since awakening from my long sleep, it’s been rather difficult to adjust. We’ve been a little short-handed. And I’d hate to keep relying solely on Zeresh. She has been working hard and could use a breather now and again.” He felt guilty making the other work so hard after he had been sleeping far longer than he originally intended.
“I know things are different now. Especially with my decision to follow Grendel. Some of our Clan are still lost in a haze after leaving Caine. And since awakening from torpor, technology still baffles me. But having more Salubri around that know what they are doing, and have reached Golconda would be beneficial to other new members. I wish to teach the fledglings more in hopes that others will also desire to rise in ranking and make an effort to succeed in their studies.”
He paused for a moment as if considering what he wanted to say next. He didn’t want to force her to choose to help him. But instead encourage her to make the decision on her own. “In fact I think you would make an excellent candidate. That is, if you wish to help me.” He did hope she’d say yes.

Listening, contemplating, Fortuna is silent for several minutes. She is formulating her response as well as thinking carefully. ”Your decision to change your path, the path of all of us, is a weighty one. I believe you did what you felt best. He offered and you accepted. Not that anything is that simple. Your offer to me for example. Layered in compliments, added on instructions, and some spattered history. Intrigue, mystery, knowledge, opportunity…”
Sipping her tea she closes her duo eyes. Her third eye remains open to him. ”Your gift is truly inspiring. As you know I’m gifted, as well as know I’m no novice. I was blessed, however I train and practice as well. It’s… nice… to hear your appreciation. ” Sipping she continues, “Your thoughts, your offer, they deserve careful consideration.” Finishing her tea now she sets the cup aside. ”I would be a fool to turn you down. I would be honored to step up in rank. All of the responsibility that goes with it as well as how I help now.”
