Vicious hadn't ever been this deep in the woods before, nor had she ever strayed this far from her brother. It was an eerie place, too quiet, too large. No crickets chirped, no birds sang, it was only the soft, melancholy whisper of the wind and the sound of her own heartbeat pounding in her ears. Usually she wasn't afraid. In fact she'd never really felt much in the way of fear, not even hunting late at night all alone. The shadows kept her well concealed, her minions alerting her to any eyes watching that she failed to notice herself.

The baddie crept through the shadows, hunting. She'd spotted a curious looking deer and had been so focused on it she hadn't realized how deep she'd gone until she looked up and didn't recognize her surroundings. Nothing smelled familiar either. Her luminous eyes practically glowed in the darkness, the cat-like slits shifting from side to side carefully as she took in the territory. At this rate she wouldn't make it back before darkness had fully devoured the woods. Well, s**t. That wasn't good.

It had been a while since Rocky had left the city to properly hunt. But she had good reason for it. Once she had left the outskirts of Hemlock she had dropped to all fours and scampered her way deep into the forest. Climbing a tree and jumping from tree to tree, careful not to shake the branches and rustle the leaves as she jumped light footed. Being out in the wild was invigorating for the Gangrel Elder. The smells of the city had clogged her senses, now that she could suck in a cleansing breath the familiar smells of the trees and the animals that lived there came into full focus now.

Keeping to the shadows of the tree tops gold eyes swept back and forth, cat like pupils expanded wide to give her better sight in the creeping darkness. Something caught her nose and she stopped, crouched on a particularly thick branch. Driving her claws deep into the bark. It was a smell of warmth, meat that had a heart pumping fresh blood through it. It was most definitely not a deer or other large animal that roamed the forest.

No, it was a mortal who quite possibly had strayed too far into the woods.

She moved, each step, each leap silent. Letting her nose lead her until her eyes landed upon the dark pelt that moved through the trees. Rocky stopped, watching the female stalk about. Loud as an elephant tromping through the jungle. The tip of her tail flicked back and forth as she watched her try to stalk about. Was this mortal hunting? Well she was certainly doing a piss poor job of it. She crouched low against the branch as the mortal female started to draw closer. Pressing herself into the shadows a fanged smirk reached her black lips. Perfect. This one could be her dinner tonight.

Vicious was lost. She couldn't smell her way back as there was nothing familiar to latch onto. She had been stalking so her footprint on the land was minimal therefore she couldn't use it to backtrack either. Thick black hackles rose along her back as she bared her fangs and growled low in her throat, like a cat challenging an opponent. She hated being lost. Why was a stupid deer interesting enough that she hadn't noticed where she was going? How far she had gotten? She should have stopped following the damn deer ages ago but once she caught the scent of interesting prey, or something unknown to her, it was over. She would hyper focus.

Her body moved as stealthily as she could through the darkness, a shiver coursing up her spine suddenly for a reason she couldnt quite grasp. She paused to try and pinpoint the source of her sudden unease but couldn't see anything that immediately had her worried, not right away. But the two shadow creatures surrounding her seemed uneasy now as well and that had her even more concerned. Vicious gave a soft warning growl, just in case it wasn't her imagination, and continued to try and find her path back to where she had come from in the first place.

By now it was past dusk, fortunately she could see in the dark just as well as during the day and the night provided better camouflage considering how dark her pelt was. She stalked through the trees, keeping her eyes peeled sharply for whatever it was that haunted nearby, if she was lucky it was a weaker predator on the prowl. Somehow she highly doubted that was the case. Somehow her gut, despite all sense and reason, was telling her to run. Vicious didn't normally feel fear, especially not fear enough to run from seemingly nothing. But the darker it got, the more she wanted to run as fast as her legs could carry her.
