One such creature who often ruled the seas were the Merfolk. Unlike the centaurs and elaphotaurs, these inhabitants lived primarily beneath the waters, but could also be found living upon the beaches and shores. Some mers came to inhabit rivers and lakes, and even a large enough pond or swamp. Wherever large bodies of water could be found, the chance of a school of mers inhabiting it was high.
Some mers are known to live in great schools, while others are more solitary. There are rumors of great underwater kingdoms, and large swaths of territory beneath the waters. Mers are known to worship water spirits and water gods, unsurprisingly, but they also spend time on beaches, or on the shore. There is much mystery surrounding the mers of the islands, but perhaps with time, their stories will be revealed.

On this last month of May, we would like to officially release Mers to the shop! Mers have no magic but hey are excellent swimmers and can breathe both on land as well as underwater. Their personalties are as varied as the taurs -- some are playful and friendly, while others are best to be avoided. They have heir own schools and groups, and have various kingdoms beneath the waters.
While they have no natural magic, just like all beings in Mythikos, there is always the opportunity to gain or earn such magic. They can live on the beaches and shores, so long as they have places to fully submerge and swim -- however, being without water for a great length of time would result in their death -- so swimmers beware!
To kick off he release of our new species, we have a few to give away!
Mers currently come in two post types:
There's the friendly Floating linebase which comes in Standard Masc & Femme.
There's the sexy Swimming linebase which comes in Standard Masc & Femme -- however, this pose also has an additional tail option which is that o a shark tail!
Mers can be edited like any other centaur, but only obtain magic or other physical traits through blessings and curses. Additionally, their tails should not be edited to turn them into different aquatic life outside of fishes or sharks. We will introduce additional tail types. While fins can be changed, you are not allowed to edit the base or to turn them into octopus, whale, dolphin, or other sea-life for now. Those will be added or created later, and in the case of Octopodes, will be an entirely new species.
Additional poses and body types will be added in time.
