Personality: Cassiopeia is the nocturnal being by nature, choosing to sleep under a canopy of celestial tapestries that mimic the night sky during the day and rising to dance and sing under the evening sky as she wakes at night. She much prefers the soft glow of the moonlight and Star shine to the harsh rays of the sun, the twinkle of the stars remind her of home and her mothers whom she feels painted the sky in such beauty that she cant help but be inspired by. She will hum and sway in the cool breeze that seems to breathe life into the night. Sometimes she will fancy a swim under the stars, letting the reflections of the stars embrace her giving her the sense of flying through them in her dance of life. She is whimsical and carefree. Personality: Hesperie is a lover of the spaces between; each evening she dances to welcome the night as the sun sets and the moon and stars rise; and in the morning, she dances to say goodbye to her mothers' domain and hello to the new day.

As the hours change, if one is lucky, one might glimpse her dance....and an especially lucky mortal might be invited to dance along for a time. But Hesperie constantly seeks change and transition, and while she will wander back to old friends or favorite places, she is always seeking something new. Some lovely new piece of scenery. A new way to experience the familiar. She is at her happiest when she's finding new joy in something that seems as if it should be old; certainly the moon rises and sets the same every night, but is there not always some new way to see it?

Other: Hesperie (or Hesperia, but I thought Hesperie sounded cute!) is one of the named Hesperides, and her name refers to the color of sunset; I like the idea of her as moving in the liminal spaces and kind of welcoming in and saying goodbye to the night!

Entry Name: Eretria
Personality: Eretria, or Eri as her mother's call her is a very intelligent, obeying and submissive female but only to a point. Cross her and there will be retribution, and it will not be pleasant. She stands her ground, will not be bullied or swayed. Try at your own peril. The repercussions can be considered deadly to some to others nothing but a mere annoyance.

The night is like a blanket of security that wraps around her and welcomes her home. She feels as if she is finally free, can fully breathe and one with the darkness. The cold air, the slight breeze, the smell all are home to her. Without it she would be utterly lost.

She is often found in a heavily wooded area in a clearing that is sacred and there she and others will dance in tandem in worship of the darkness the only light is the moon which holds a special significance to her.

The moon is a symbol of her mother's compassion, which to most is surprising, allowing those not of her kin to see through the darkness and find their way. Make no mistake she knows her mother did not create the moon but still sees it as a small gift one that those are beneath it should be thankful for.

Eri is very different from her siblings especially in her way of thinking. She worships her mother and, in all honesty, expects the same from others regardless of their rank in their world. This way of thinking sometimes causes issue for Eri but to her it is futile to challenge her. She will not give in, nor will she even begin to comprehend changing her views and opinions. Her feelings are one of the few things she trusts beyond all reason and therefore she must be right.

Other: Eri adores the freedom the night brings and detests anything to do with light. She dislikes anyone who prefers the rays of the sun. She abhors the sun and all it represents. To her it is nothing more than a nuisance. In her eyes it means the end of another glorious dark night and she must retire to her special hideaway. Once the sunlight begins to crest, she makes her way there to sleep and dream of the night and darkness to come.

Entry Name: Asterope
Personality: To know sweet Asterope is to learn of many things-- The twinkle in her eyes that is present at all times, the sparkling light that leaves her wake as she travels through the night sky, the tinkling in her voice as she sings, and many more. Compared to her brother Orion, she is, perhaps, a tad more reserved-- feeling more suited to engage in calmer activities to aid her Mother's domain. But if he were to ask, she would be the first to help in whatever he needs.

They're siblings, after all.

This sentiment is extended to rest of her family as well. Asterope loves her Mothers dearly; the goddess looks up to Auriga and Eridanus, especially with how they handle the stars, with her being the third to do so. As long as her mothers allow it, Asterope wants to one day help fill all of Faetasia's night sky with many, many stars of her own creation.

Other: Her name means either "Starry Faced" or "Lightning", and one of the many names given to the Hesperides. The second could be an ironic but affectionate nickname!

Wow! So many amazing entries! They were all so good and would have suited a daughter of Nyx so well!

Congrats! Ipomoea sounds like a lovely character and I felt like her preference for night flowers contrasted nicely with her brother and his night hunters! Nyx welcomes her to the family and has a lovely garden waiting for her at the temple.
