It's that most wonderful time of the year again—gift box season! Wait... did you say gift box!? Yes, we're changing the template for "plushies" this year to simplify conversions to return to the spirit of a semi-custom and less of a custom. This will give colorists more freedom in how the gift boxes will be converted into a soquili or familiar. You will be able to choose the sex of your soquili and list a few breeds, but otherwise everything else will be up to the colorist to interpret.
The gift box template (thank you, Strifeling!) should not be edited in any way. All coloring should be kept within the lines. You should only be coloring the markings and colors you would like to see on the pet, without references to breed traits!
CYOs are now capped at minor edits. That being said, all of these changes are being made in order to combat colorist burnout; edits and splicing are not guaranteed.
We will no longer guarantee that everyone gets a soquili. Trying to knock out over 100 ponies in just one month is a lot of work! As much as we would love to give everyone a pet, colorists have been facing burnout trying to get so many done in such a short period of time. We want to keep this relaxing and fun, something our colorists can enjoy as much as our customers!
During the Color Your Own (CYO) event, you may color gift boxes on the provided template (see below) to gift to friends as well as yourself! If submitted to the raffle thread, they have a chance of becoming real!

Rules
- You may color as many gift boxes as you want!
There is no limit on how many gift boxes you can get.
You can make gift boxes for yourself.
Gift boxes can be colored using any medium, including digital work or colored pencils.
Gift boxes cannot be edited. All coloring must be kept within the lineart.
You can change fonts, remove the bow, ribbon, or both, as well as change the transparency, but they shouldn't be altered otherwise (ie. don't move the bow to the side, or erase some of the ribbon).
All art must be your own. Brushes that come with a digital art program may be used. If obtaining brushes from a third party, they should not be used as stamps.
PSDs or other resources from other websites and B/C shops should not be used, including those that are free for use.
Other art should not be traced, including shop templates.

Conversions
- All conversions will be capped at minor edits, but edits and splicing are not guaranteed. It is possible you may get an unedited pet with no splicing.
Conversions may translate to either soquili or familiar pets.
There will be no mutants this year.
If you have a pureblooded Angeni or an Angenicorn with two sets of wings, you can request a domain at the Angeni Domain and Soquili Powers Listing: This may change in the future should it ever prove to be enough of a problem to warrant putting a pause to this.
Ulun'suti or Ulun'suti hybrids may have an element - but make sure to post for it in the certing thread.
Conversions will be inspired by the gift box(es). They are semi-customs.
Please note that colorists are free to interpret your gift box in any way they choose. While the converted pet will be based off a gift box or even multiple gift boxes, it may not be an identical copy. Colorists can alter markings and colors however they feel is appropriate.
If the gift box is a mockbreeding and you are not one of the owners of the parents, please post a permission from the parents (some users include this in their breeding agreement to allow them to give out CYO to anyone they want to as mock breedings): if the person who gifted it to you owns both parents, this counts as permission.
