As expected, the family reunion had been a (thankfully temporary) joyous, chaotic affair. All the present generations had been represented at the least, with mates and children often visiting if not remaining for a significant portion of the time. And, to the relief of many, the Dark Fayths had kept their distance, barring brief visits by envoys in the form of the Rose-Shadowed Melody, Sonata. Even some of their allies had taken turns appearing, often with foals in tow.
Sotto Voce, for his part, was pleased that the massive, combined group had dispersed again. He was not one for large crowds when he had a choice at the alternative; smaller, more intimate gatherings would always be preferable. Though the Fayths had drifted apart after the family reunion, the gathering had afforded the siblings a chance to visit. Discussing the current structure of the alliances in relation to the herd, Sotto had come to realization about a few matters and resolved to take a direct course of action to address them.
The rather surprising part was that Renen had agreed to help, though there was a chance he did not quite know what that would mean. Sotto wasn't entirely sure either, it would somewhat hinge on which of the envoys was waiting for them in the glade. Only time would tell for that. In the mean time, Sotto was attempting to at least outline matters without giving away too much detail.
"The herd structures are somewhat complicated... some family bonds are tenuous, and certain appearances are being maintained for the sake of more overbearing alliances." Sotto explained with a flex of his wings and a somewhat annoyed flick of his ears. "Likely with a diminishing time limit, but it's not for me to say. All things considered, it's most likely that you'll meet one of the envoys. I know of three or four, so I'm hoping that one of them will meet us there and we can establish something of a rapport."
