I really don't know what to consider myself as, but I am not a cutter. As Morty said, emo does not equal cutter and vice versa. I do love different styles of music, including Emo, Goth, Metal, Classical, etc.

I often get called emo because Im quiet and dont like people much. On that note, I have inflicted wounds upon myself, but now because I was in pain. I carved crosses and such into my arm with needles because I couldnt stand the feeling of a knife just carving my flesh up like butter. I enjoyed pain somewhat, but I mostly think it was just boredom since I did it in my middleschool english class.

I think this thread needs a name change. Emo does not mean you cut yourself. Cutting yourself means you cut yourself, and I cannot stand it when people make this misconception.
