What soars but in a straight line, except when the thrower is as they should be where this is found?

This one is inclined to suggest some sort of air craft. Then again this one has never been any good at riddles.

Time, it flows straight except when under the influence of gravity in which it curves. And thus the thrower(or the observer) should be under the influence of gravity, because an observer can not exist without creating gravity.

I used to know all of the ones from The Hobbit by heart, but I've forgotten them now.

The surgeon is the injured boy's mother.
Which is faster, hot or cold?

Hot, because cold doesn't move. (Hot is heat energy, cold is the absence of heat.)

Why don't you post a riddle then?
Look at the date on the last post before yours! This thread was from half a year ago. While (as far as I know) we don't officially have a policy on not reviving old threads in this guild, it's really not very nice unless you actually have something important to say.

Here's one my love asked me...it took me quiet a while to figure out, too. Then again, I've never really been one for riddles:
I can be big as a mountain, Or small as a pea. Endlessly swimming, In a waterless sea.
That one drove me nuts for three weeks xp

The MoUsY spell-checker Hot, because cold doesn't move. (Hot is heat energy, cold is the absence of heat.) actually, it is hot, but because you can catch a cold! ^^ am i right?
and is the one above me space?
a waterless sea could represent the seas on the moon that no longer are filled with water "apparently" and it leads you towards space

Ok, I've got one:
A man goes into town on Tuesday, stays three days, and leaves on Wednesday. How is that possible?
