Well, I got the DVD's now, how can I use the clips?

Hey all, I wish to Make Ruroni Kenshin AMV. I've done so in the past and I am shameful to say I had to use clips from other AMVs so I could sucssesfully acctually make said AMV. Anyways, I do have episodes and I want to know: How do I take the episode and save it on my computer so I can use it for my use so I may use said clips?

If I can't for copy right issues or something like that how can I? And is there a way for me to do it for free without downloading harmful things into my computer. (Like having to download a type of software.)

I'm sorry to say that I don't know, but I wish I did because I want to make some amvs too. Why not ask someone youtube?

Hmm.. I heard that you could use this moviemaking thing (I think it's from microsoft?) that a couple of people said they were using.. honestly I don't know, I want to make AMVs but my computer is a piece of crap sad

LoL I make lots of music vids. Just go to animemusicvideos.org look for Kenshin or what ever and download one of those and then take clips from various ones and add music. I use widows movie maker. Take a look at one of my vids.

I do use it, I use all of that, But I wanted to make a Misao dedication one, and they had none... Also I'd like to use my clips.

It's easy, I just feel bad taking others hard earnd clips.

I know I would too and they're some clips you wanna use but you can't find so it just makes it harder.

idk ive heard people talk about capturing the video.. one of the movie programs should be able to do it.. or maybe windows media player..
