Parents who take the extreme

Today was horrible for me. I don't know if I'm supposed to post this here, or whatever, but I want to see who else has been through this s**t.

Today, my mother shaved my head. I had no choice. I'd struggle to get away, and now I have three gashes on my now bald head.

She said she didn't want me to have long hair because it was "gay" and "satanic" and she didn't want an "evil f** whore" as a son.

She also raided my room and took away all of my black stuff. She took away anything that "looked gay". So now all I have left is a couple of pairs of sweats, a pair of jeans and one t-shirt.

No shoes.

She even took to hitting me when she found my Harry Potter books... Harry Potter. If that set her off like that then I sure am glad I accidently left my BOS at a friends house...

That woman is stronger than she looks too...

She's forbidden me from watching any more musicals (good thing I've already seen Rent...). I'm not allowed to leave the house, and no one's allowed over unless they are female.

All because she went to church one day.

Just one more year, and I'm done...

Does anyone else have parents that just don't get it?

Call a child abuse center. That isn't right. If your not really gay, then get some girl you know at school, who dresses like you to come over and tell her that your not gay.

Well, does she know? because if she 'wants to fix you' shes in the wrong. If you truly are you will never change, and it will always be that way. She should know that.

Yes, she knows... I'm sure that's part of the problem. I don't think it's that she wants to 'fix me'... It's more of she doesn't want a gay for a son... and I've come to terms with that a long time ago.

I like the idea of getting a girl who dresses like you to tell your mom you're not gay, even if you are ((unless of course you've told her personally)). It would make everything a lot easier if she thinks you aren't gay.

The shaving the head thing and getting rid of all your clothes was a little overboard X.X

Maybe you should call child abuse, maybe not.

I am not about to pretend I'm something I'm not. I downright refuse to play that.

And to Irreversal: I'm 17. I would have moved out by now, but my mother just recently allowed me to get a job... so as soon as I have enough to support myself AND my little sister... I'm moving out.

man, that's just.....*filled with rage* I will personally never understand people that feel the need to hate and fear things they do not understand. I know it doesn't actually mean anything in the real world but you have my sympathy for having to endue this.

Personally, knowing me I'd do one of two things in reaction to this (I am by no merans condoning this in any way, shape or form, just a personal take on my deranged psyche).

I'd overtly flunt typical homosexual tendencies (ie, mincing and talking in a sterotypical 'gay' way), just to tick her off (which would provoke even harsher treatment.....but in my own sick twisted mind I'd get a sadistic kick out of it....).

Or I'd create a man-whore persona, buying hard-core porn and just 'accidentally' leaving it in easily visible places, and creating a ring of friends that know I'm gay (and obviously female) and having them stay over for the night (or 'study').....and make certain...noises. (by now you'll probably think I'm a stark raving loony. But believe me, I WOULD so this......I feel sorry for my parents now)

I feel bad for ya. I'm not gay but i know what is like to have your mom yell at you for who you are and stuff. It sucks. But the violent headshaving and taking your clothes away (not to mention NO SHOES) i find that a bit drastic.

And this is because she went to church? this is one of a couple reasons why i stopped practicing christianity, it seems all it does is try to make people not be who they wanna be. Gays and Goths in general, and somehow it is always the mothers that are the ones enforcing this anti-individuality thing. But i might not know what i am talking about right there. Anyways, I hope things work out for ya, man.

I don't want to do things to just enrage her. I can live with the abuse. I've been through it all before. By making her angry, that will not solve anything, it will only cause more problems.

And I'm not going to call a child abuse center. I can't. I have two younger siblings. One of them is almost old enough to take care of himself, but my younger sister will probably get placed in foster care and I DON'T want that.

The church wasn't christian. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't christian.
