Because I can't see much good in him. From my standpoint, he's not attractive and has no personality to speak of. But he's very popular, almost as much as Jack. Why? ninja

 By remembering that I serve others, Mister Sparrow... I'm not just saying this because I'm a huge Jack and Norrington fan, first off. But I find Will to be way too cliche. He's the commoner who gets the governors daughter. Just like the commoner who gets the princess in fairy tales because the princes seem to be complete jerks.
Way over done. ><
And he focuses way too much on Elizabeth. Yeah, love can be a huge obsession, I know, but .. GIVE IT A REST. D: Please? I just think he lacks all that much development, and doesn't really change much in the second movie from the end of the first. Norrington, on the other hand, changed a lot. Jack doesn't need to change, in my opinion though. XD He's just perfect the way he is. Certain characters should change, and others shouldn't, but I think I would like Will if he had just a bit more to him.
I guess I mean he seems like a shallow character. :[
And I didn't rip on his acting, because I didn't see anything wrong with it. xD Just the character. Not only myself.

As I said in the Norrington thread: Ageless Bill Turner I'm thinking that the Will fans can be attributed to Orlando Bloom fans. The character isn't particularly interesting, but the character's a good looking male who played an elf, so the girlies that had a crush on Legolas have a crush on him as well.

Well I would hate to say this but...
The character's in Pirates of the Caribbean remind me of Shrek...
Donkey/Puss in Boots: Jack.
Shrek: Will.
Fiona: Elizabeth.
Prince Charming: Commodore Norrington.
If you really think about it, It does somewhat resemble a striking resemblence...
Even though the mains and stuff are a little mixed up...
