The forbidden spells require as I get it from Bellatrix in OTP a will to hurt others, but what about other strong spells?

Yeah, but at least he knew how to fix it. Much as I think Malfoy deserved it, Harry would probably have gotten in lots more trouble if Snape hadn't known how to fix Malfoy's wounds.
