I thought this was a great book and would reccomend it to fans of Tolkien and general fantasy/science fiction.

I just started the Elfstones of Shannara (the sequel) and the first couple of chapters are good.

*SQUEE*
I love his books. whee heart
However, I would have to say that I don't neccesarily think he's a good writer (though, if you read some books he's written more recently, he's shown definite improvement), the plots of his books are very good. 3nodding

I've only read his Magic Kingdom for Sale: Sold! Books, but I loved them! I actually got a letter from him.

(We had to do a book report on a local author, so I went with Terry! We had to write a letter about how and why we enjoyed the book.)

I've read The Sword of Shannara. Panamon Creel and Menion Leah are quite amusing. Started The Elfstones of Shannara yesterday

I've got the Sword, Elfstones, and Wishsong books, but I've only gotten through most of the second one.

I have read every last Shannara book and I love them. They are all very well written. My personal favorite is the Elfstones. Perhaps it's the demons...

Oh I love his books! I originally got into the series from randomlly grabbing a big book from my school library never intending to read it sweatdrop What really stunk though was I started with Elfstones (Very good book) and kinda got out of order
Though to be honest I liked the scions and voyage books the best, I can't say much about the High Druis seeing that I still need to buy Straken >.<
