Since we don't have awfully alot of threads here I thought making this thread where mixing ingredients can turn out to be more strange then thought possible in potions.

Mixing ingredients from roots to horse's tail have been used for some time, but what about results and goals?
Poisoning, tranmigrating, enchanting people or just to be used for rituals? Many of these things have existed and still is around, making it intresting see how little we actually know potions in the HP-world.

Asphodel, powdered essence of mandrake, syrup of hellbore, a few other ingredients, and a sprig of peppermint to neutralize the stronger ingredients, and voila!
Soup. xd
Well, if you had that, it would most likely be a medical drought that would make you sleep and cure you...maybe. O.o

Interesting, how that clear odorless liquid can force one to tell the truth uncontrollably. They never do discuss what's in it, just that it takes a month to mature. I also think it's funny that we never really know exactly what's in any of the potions. J.K. needs to come out with a recipe book to sate my ridiculous curiosity

*gets out potions ingredients *lights a fire under cauldren *puts in shredded essence of mandrake and a single strand of unicorn tail hair *mixes them together *adds in bedozer and stirrs *puts into a flask and puts onto Professor Snape's desk.
