I have been wondering how this word is pronounced. It looks like it should be GUY uh, and I think the goddess can be either JEE uh or GAY uh, and can be spelled Gaea. In my mind it is either of the first two. What do you think?

It's pronounced Guy-ah. Gaia means Earth. We get our word "geography" from it.

Really? I didn't know that. How about contributing something useful, like why you think it is pronounced the way you pronounce it. There is no wrong answer. Go ahead. Please.
Some time ago, I read a Greek mythology book which only gave (JEE uh). I went along with it, even though it was tempting to say (GUY uh). Then I got curious, did some research, and started this thread. To this day, I still say it both ways. And I'm still a curious little monkey.
