emo rocks but are they emo music or punk rock? I think they are kinda like both...i don't know!

Neither. neutral They're pop-rock.

They've got a teensy bit of hardcore punk influence from their old bands, but they barely incorporate anything from that in their music.

They sound NOTHING like emo or punk.
If you think so, you desperately need to check out the Punk thread and Emo 101 thread in the music forum. sweatdrop I'd link to them, but I'm too lazy. xd

I don't really care what anybody chooses to label them as--I love them and that's all I really need to know. (Roundabout way of saying I have no idea and don't care about labels as long as the music rocks...)

i just call them "rock"

I call most of the music I listen to just "rock"... its easier than going "pop rock" "punk rock" "---rock" its all just plain ol' rock.

neutral Emotive hardcore is a sound, not lyrical content.

You've obviously never heard any real emo.

Go listen to any/all of the following: Rites Of Spring, Moss Icon, City Of Caterpillar, Orchid, Ghost Stories, Hot Cross, After School Knife Fight, Fugazi, Jawbreaker, Lifetime, etc.

Besides, they don't have any songs mourning their lost love or anything. Closest to the emo STEREOTYPE they've got is Summer Song. Most of their songs are angry and bitter, or lustful. They don't even fit the mainstream INCORRECT emo STEROTYPE. o_x Which is why I'm SO terribly confused as to how people come to that conclusion.
