Filtering in a nutshell: Catch whatever moves the fastest. If it barely moves, let it go.
The Fish:
Yellow Guppy Moves very slow and not far before turning. Similar to junk.
Orange Guppy Turns quickly, doesn't move far unless you are pulling it.
Red Guppy Turns slower than orange - moves fast and far between turns. Similar to bass or even slow blue stripers at times.
Brown Bass Moves faster than Orange guppy - turns slow. Doesn't move far between turns.
Green Bass Moves faster than Brown Bass. Turns sharply and fairly quickly - usually moves a good distance between turns.
Blue Bass - Moves quite Quick. Turns about same as Green Bass, but goes further between turns due to speed. Easily mistaken for a slow striper. 
Blue Striper Easiest striper to mistake. Very much like a Blue bass - goes a little further between turns though.
Gray Striper Moves FAST, Turns FAST. Won't travel that far between turns, but will do it quick!
Green Striper Moves almost as fast as a Gray Striper, moves further between turns.
