You showed me your rock
that you had just mined from the stone
I was in awe at how bright it shone
For such a small peice of a rock
The jewel reflected your eyes

But when I touched such a rock
It grew dull and mediocre
And a fire burned the forest's hundred acre
Trouble brewed inside Mr. Tick Tock
I didn't dare do anything but stay away

And he said, "What a pretty rock,
That I should lay my hands upon,
Hands that stitch the moon upon my apron"
But his eyes were bright and I could not knock
For I knew that he was malevolence

He wanted the sacred jewel of a rock
And she would not let him have the ice
So he brought a knife and killed her with one slice
Blood dripped down, past her knees into her sock
And here lifless eyes stained my heart

"Your miner girl mines nothing but rock"
He said with a smirk. The wizard spoke not in contempt
"I promised her salvation, to who served me best."
And I could no longer be held by gauntlets of rock
"Salvation is not death, and she deserved better."

The devils foremen held up a finger holding the rock
And he waved it in the air, tsking me with long whisps
"Salvation not for her, but for you" his voice cracked like a whip
And his cold voice penetrated my hearts lock
I cried out with a force like no other in the world

I hurled myself out upon his hand with the rock
The jewel of ice now becoming a blood red
While it layed upon my body like death to a bed
It began to speak, "I am not just a rock
But I am much more so than that"

"I myself am but a diamond rock
That is worth more to anyone that love
But you showed me that when push comes to shove
That I am worth nothing to you or these rocks
But that I'm not a gift, but the true gift is love."

And while I layed their with my lovers sweet rock
Layed upon my chest, I slowly closed my eyes
And I began to think about just how much I despised
That diamond my baby had found among the rock.
And the foremen who had taken her life from my soul.
