I have one or two houses that I've downloaded, and they all have a.. "higher" foundation.

Not as low as the standard one, but not as high as a full wall.
I've included two pics showing what I mean.
Could anyone help me out, please?

I may just have thought of a way this can be done and it's really simple! All you have to do is build a normal foundation and lower the ground around it. I guess if you want a level lot you'll have to raise the ground to start with before you place the foundation though. I'll try it myself when I get back to my game.

I've always wondered myself, honestly. But Menac's idea might work.

Oh yeah, you may want to try this yourself actually seeing as I wont be able to get back to my game for another week.

Half walls wouldn't work anyway seeing as you can't place flooring on them.

I've done it! Here is a picture as proof:

I did it exactly as I said in the earlier post with raising the floor before you put the foundation in. Please note that the raised floor at the side of the lot ISN'T a result of using this building method, the floor was just higher at either side of the lot. If you want the split stair bit though like in your second picture, Greezally, then you need OfB because I had to use the indoor foundations for that.
Here is a comparison between all the different types of walls and the foundation:

Half wall, full wall, foundation, foundation with floor lowered after it was placed.
If you want a fuller explination of how to do this then I'll be happy to make a tutorial type thing. Just ask. wink
