From what I remember, Mewtwo has great special stats and Speed, right?
He learns Recover, an awesome move. I am 99% positive he can learn Calm Mind. A good EV spread would be for Sp. Attack and (physical) Defense, with a little HP on the side. Mewtwo's only Special weakness is Dark, as much as I know. Cause Ghost and Bug are physical. For 3rd Gen strats, Mewtwo should always have Recover.
Imagine this:
Mewtwo w/ Lum Berry/White Herb/Leftovers Nature: +DEF, -ATK/SPD(To alleviate Ghost and Bug weaknesses) Recover Calm Mind Ice Beam Overheat, if possible
Beats Bug, Rock, Flying, Grass, Ice, Steel, Dragon, Ground, but difficulty with Water. Calm Mind could alleviate this.
