The 1st or 2nd? I honestly think you can't beat the first one. The second one was too "blockbuster"-ish.
But of course I love them both.
What do you think?

Mehh,..
You can never beat the original, But I think DMC came pretty close.
It was pretty Blcoked but I didn't really mind.
It made up for it with the amount of classic scenes and senarious from the first movie.

Well...considering that we are still waiting for the third one to come out I can't really decide!!! So I guess I like the 2nd one for now....better than the first....

omg i hated the second one so much
well it really wasn't that bad but compared to the first one...
it just kinda messed up the first one
the davy jones thing was going a little far with the fantasy thing
i mean, his heart was in a freakin' box!!!!
it doesn't get any weirder
i just hope the third one is better

araivs omg i hated the second one so much well it really wasn't that bad but compared to the first one... it just kinda messed up the first one the davy jones thing was going a little far with the fantasy thing i mean, his heart was in a freakin' box!!!! it doesn't get any weirder i just hope the third one is better It is a fantasy movie, my dear. Are you saying cursed zombie pirates are more realistic than Davy Jones and his heartless..ness..osity? *snicker* Though I agree, the second one was far more far-fetched, too all-over the place. Not to mention, it just felt like they were TRYING to make a good movie, and forced it. biggrin

The first time I saw it, I thought it was good, but didn't accomplish anything. I pretty much thought it was pointless. A few days ago, after watching it again, I was reading up on the third movie to get a feel for the plot and a few spoilers. As I read, I came to appreciate the second movie a lot more because it set up everything up for the third movie. So for now, I have to say I like the second better. biggrin

Ooh, that's a difficult one! x__x I like them both a lot! But I do like Dead Mans Chest more now. Because I am curious how it continues through At Worlds End. So I guess I can decide after I've seen At Worlds End... On the other hand; maybe I can't. xd

The first movie was awesome, and I didn't think the second one was going to beat it. And it didn't... I love them both the same! blaugh
But the thing I like about the first is the fact that its setting the scene. Its the first time we're introduced to this world and the characters, which made it more.... interesting... if you know what I mean!
But, I think we should wait for AWE because when that comes out it might put DMC into a whole new light...

I personally love the second one better. I mean they were both good but the second one was funnier. Jack had more of a part and it wasn't all serious. The first one was very serious.

I liked the first better. When I first saw it I was blown out of the water. I mean what compares to it? The second one I knew what to expect, and I was excitied. But, candy's best when u first eat it, right? I love both! heart

Not to mention, it just felt like they were TRYING to make a good movie, and forced it. biggrin Yeah I think they rushed to make a new movie and didn't write it well enough. the second was trying to live up to the expectations of the fans.... hold on wait a blooming second... fishy faced sea man are over the top... but walking cursed guys that turn to corpses in the moon light are ok? pluss the fact that davie jones and the kraken were known about before. if its taken on its own DMC is a good film, true not as good as the first but oh well.
