_] The fool doth think he is wise...Okay, so.. I was looking through some PotC stuff, and I found this website, which informed me there were "DVD Easter Eggs" on the PotC DVD. It requires you have the 2-disc version.
There are four "Easter eggs", and while they're nothing special, it's interesting that they're there!
1. Select 'Fly on the Set': Highlight 'Play All' and press right twice to highlight the skeleton's tooth. Press enter to watch "Pirates Cave Construction".
2. Select 'Below Deck': Highlight 'Set Sail' and press left twice to highlight the skull. Press enter to watch a computer animation of the chase scene without voices.
3. Select "Moonlight Serenade" Scene Progression: Highlight 'Main Menu' and press down twice to highlight another skeleton's tooth. Press enter to watch a Keith Richards interview.
4. Brandi On Disc 2, go to "Below Deck". Go down to "Scene Index" beneath "A Prisoner's Last Tale", and then go to the 2nd page, where it has the headings "On Deck", "The Gunnery", "The Galley", and "Credits". Scroll down to "Pirate Ships", press left on the remote and Barbossa's ring will light up. Click enter and you'll see a Japanese tv commercial for POTC!
There is also some for the second disc of the second movie, Dead Man's Chest.
On disc 2 click on "Mastering the Blade," go down to "Return to Bonus," and click LEFT / DOWN to see the lock light up. Click that to see a 2-minute featurette on "Chopper," the newest (canine) star of the POTC universe.
On disc 2, the Main Menu, highlight the entry 'Creating The Kraken' (but do NOT click on it). Now press the 'Left' arrow key, and follow it up by pressing the 'Up' arrow key twice. This will highlight a leaf of grass under the chest. Now press the 'Enter' key and you will see a short clip about the Twin Pirates.
Disc 2, the Main Menu, highlight the entry 'According To Plan' (do NOT click it) and then press the 'Left' arrow key on your remote twice. This will highlight a leaf on the screen. Press the 'enter' key now and you will see a brief featurette about the on-set catering.
Disc 2, Main Menu part two, accessible through the 'More' menu entry. Here highlight the menu entry 'Fly on the Set: The Bone Cage.' Press 'Left,' (again, do NOT click it) 'Down' and 'Left' on your remote control and you will highlight a leaf on the screen. The 'enter' key will give you access to a clip about the job of a stand-by painter on the set.
Now highlight 'Jerry Bruckheimer: A Producer’s Photo Diary' (don't click) on the menu and press the 'Left' arrow key three times to highlight some grass. Press the 'enter' key and you will be treated to a featurette about Peter, the coconut picker who provides the cast and crew with fresh coconut juice every day on the set.
There is yet another one for the three-disc edition of Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.
