As much as I love Potc, You have to know when to let go..
And better yet, When to stop making them..

I heard the 4th rumour as well and some other things about it since it would be disney.

Johnny apparently would be willing.
Likely-hood of a direct-to-video release is probably.
It would be animated and based of the illustrated version of the characters that are now appearing on merchandise.
If it's not animated, it will probably be a Prequel dealing with Beckett and Jack working for the East India Trading company.

I am so happy that if they make a fourth, Elizabeth wont be in it. Truth, I hope the fourth is about Jacks past. That would make a great movie. With Will Turner (The dad) before the mutiny and maybe how jack became a Pirate in the first place. Oh, and how he met what his name, the one that branded him. That definitly has some history.

I work for Disney and it is done at the third one. JD said he would love to do another but so far there is nothing even being talked about. and if they were going to do it they probalby would have triple shot to save money

That would be interesting, but I think Johnny's outgrown his TV days, its just hard to top Jump Street

well, friends yes, the rumors are true, i've read the interviews and it's official. Plus, Johnny Dept himself said he would play jack sparrow ten thousand if he have too and that it's the best character he ever played. Plus, rumors have been confirm that one of the main characters are really going to die, probably in the fourth movie. Disney is saying that will turner has to go, because some say he's not such a main character and that probably jack stays with Elizabeth. and That they already have an idea for a fourth, fifth and sixth movie for pirates! YEAH! the only thing i pray for that they continue to make better pirates movies as they make them.
