keep in mind it's not in exact color since my medium was pencil and a single prisma marker, so make it the color you want in your head and then tell me what you think...

*these are also posted in my profile

I am also currently working on more though I doubt anyone will see them since I am currently without scanner.

but anyways comments would be apprieciated.... and please keep criticizm constructive.

Thanks R.W. Tofu

They are very good and all, but the problem is, they look generic, they look like clothes you could get from any specialist shop. At least around where I live anyway.

By the way... Daria... cool sig.

thanks. I am working on it... I am sort of new to the fashion world, but fasion where I am... well it goes as far as hot topic... and they've gone down to pretty much chain pants t shirts and the occasional corsette. so I guess I was going with what I saw..

Daria does rock doesn't she.

I recomend looking for Alchemy Gothic stuff for an idea of fashions typical of goth and Vivian Westwood for idea's typical of punk. That way you can expand on those ideas and put your own stamp on them.

By the way in order of appearance; Daria, Jane, Trent, Brittney, Quinn.
Quite sad given I haven't seen Daria in almost 5 years.

Everythign you have designed is a good start, but the point of designing fashion is to design something new- something no one has worn before. Everything you drew has already been done.
So you gotta start cranking those brain juices harder!

Maybe you can encroach on Tripp's business.

Very nice. The top dress and the two shirts on figures right below are my favorite!

Lovely designs, a good start hun biggrin Hrm, as has been said before it's a little generic but if you're just starting that's fine 3nodding

I must admit a penchant for fishnet myself, you don't see much around now-a-days *sniff* but for some great effects with fishnet designs I'd advise you to learn crochet (not just for little grannies, it's gothability man!) it's certainly possible to crochet a spider's web design as well as basic fish-catching squares 3nodding

For more diverse ideas, look around for goth and punk clothing sites, not just the big names But stll, check out Tripp (never much liked them myself but a good range of basics), Living Dead Dolls (adorable, quite goth lolita), Edward Scissorhands (again, goth lolita), Criminal Damage (humongazoid trousers/pants, with added chains for luck), Omen (more into goth territory here, beautiful, beautiful dresses).

If you lean towards Goth lolita (or even just want some awe-inspiring inspiration) perhaps have a flick through a copy of the Japanese Goth Lolita Bible magazine (quite expensive due to import fees). The Japanese know exactly how to do over-the-top Goth, and do it with style 3nodding It also has a few punk inspired things as well in there. From a designer's POV this magazine is great, it even has patterns (if you can get by with Japanese instructions....but with experience with patterns it should be doable ^^)

Good luck hun, happy designing ^^

thanks alot ^_^ everyone. I've designed some better stuff recently, not so generic, unfortunately lack of scanner will prevent me posting them... but I'll find a way at some point. Maybe I'll take a pic. of them with my mum's digital camera once my computer is fixed (yeah it's busted-ish)

Isobel Bellamy: thanks you had a lot of helpful comments
and I have a huge thing for fishnet as you can somewhat tell... ever since my dance costume had it a long time ago. one of the tops that is posted actually has a spider web type fishnet thing going... though it's drawn as just squared off stuff, mainly because my drawing skills, while relatively good (in some opinions), are limited.

But for all you all to know I am actually designing something that is coming along to be in the realness... for the first time!! I am way excited... it's a little simple since along with the missing scanner I am also not in posession of a surger (for those that don't know what that is, it's the machine that finishes off the raw edges of seams so they don't fray as easily).

anyways.... I think I wrote enough for now, thanks y'all.

much thanks to the apprieciators. I am looking to go to fashion school soon...ish.

BTW: I already got a degree in Graphic Design... which should be helpful for the designing process, but I plan on getting basics down in pattern making before I even try to apply to fashion school. I got a thing starting in september, for getting pants patterns as well as a nother class involved in the actual designing. and then once I get a portfolio going I should be applying to some of the top schools... and some of the intermediate type schools.

Hopefully you will all see a website with my fashions for sale soon... (and by then my stuff could be original and great)

thanks again,
