I'm new here, hello.

Anyway, is it just me, or is walking around Barton Town rather scary? I find myself hoping I won't run into any people, because when I do... TXT TLK HORROR! Nine times out of ten, it goes like this:

Them: hi wats up
Me: Um, the sky?
Them: wat
Me: ...Bad joke, nevermind.
Them: kk

And then I run away and cry behind a tree.

I hate "wat". I hate it with the burning fiery passion of a hundred thousand suns. Is it really that hard to add just one more letter? Why do they hate the letter "h"? It never did anything to them! It has a wife and four kids to feed!

I can't stand that, either. 3nodding There is also the 'kno' thing that drives me nuts. It is just one more letter, for God's sake!

I say "wat" all the time as in "watwat!!" But only when I'm messing around.

I'll be honest with you.
In an AIM conversation, I use chatspeak for the sake of saving time.
I'm usually pounding out details for when/where I'm going to meet a friend, or something of the sort; I usually don't get much time online.
Otherwise, though, I try to be as grammar-perfect as possible.

Joking's one thing, I do that too. I'm oddly fond of abbreviations like "omg wtf", but I only use them when I know the person and we're both joking together. I get the terrible feeling, however, that a lot of people don't know any other way to type than txt, as if they unlearned all the letters and punctuation that second grade taught them.
