I'm just wondering, when people here say "txt-talk" isn't that technically considered text talk? I would love someone to give me a logical and reasonable explanation of why it is or why it isn't.

I think that it is...but because it's here, we know we're kind of making fun of them. So it is...but really it's not.
Hope that made some sense. sweatdrop

Yes. I would like to think it was because we were making fun of it. Otherwise that would be silly. lol :]

Well, techanically it is text talk, but......actually, I haven't really thought about that. Sorry.

Of course it is text talk. But if used in a sentence with proper grammar and spelling, then it can be considered a version of poking fun through imitation.

Yes, saying "txt tlk" is text talk. But, because we put the "txt tlk" in quotation marks, we haven't broken the rules.

It literally takes me twice as long to type 'txt tlk' as it does to type 'text talk'. That way of writing just doesn't make sense to my brain. I have to force myself to write that way.
And I wouldn't consider it text talk unless you don't use quotation marks. If you use them, it's just a quote.
Perhaps.

wink Sarcasm, as long as you type quotations around it. I agree with Fenrys Kijin. It takes me ages to type in "txt-tlk"... Wouldn't it be quicker and less hurtful to your brain to type correctly? confused

I know!
I think in proper English. It makes me wonder what goes through a 'txt-tlker''s head when they write like that. I shudder to think.

Fenrys Kijin Question: What does "1337" mean?
sweatdrop I never figured it out... It means leet. It was a computer chat language used by uber-nerds, but now it is used by noobs.
