heart heart ~*~ heart ~*~ heart heart ~Banned Writers and Books~ Banning books/writers is like violating the right of freedom of speech.
Discussion of banned writers/books: Why they have been banned? Have you read the books? What did you think of them? What is banning? How does a writer/book get banned?
Think of more topics, and let's discuss and speculate.
And Animal Farm is banned because it "promotes" Communism!
James and the Giant Peach because they say it has too many references to drugs and hallucinations.

It's like the Harry Potter books. Some places have banned them and even get together to burn the books because they promote witchcraft which is, apparently, related to the devil and what not.
I don't see how, though, because it's got no refrence to God nor the Devil anywhere in it. It's just a bunch of kids with magical powers destroying evil. How is that bad? xp
Last Harry Potter book comes out in July! heart

Really, when people ban books, it only gives those books publicity, and so more people will go out and read them. For example, some of today's most popular books are "Harry Potter" and "The Da Vinci Code," and both are somehow controversial.
Query: Did they become popular BECAUSE they are controversial?
