There needs to be other ways that we can make lots of gold at one time. The games system seem to be dead. I think they're just there for the very very young to enjoy themselves.

I think a tweaking of the gold system would be a bad idea at this time. With the failure of the recent monthly collectibles, it would either cause the market place to crash due to inflation or make it crash because of price drops.

That's a possibility...I think that if they really have to change the gold system, it would be when the battle system comes out..

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if the marketplace rewrite is released very close to the battle system. That means it might be a while though.

Yes it would be, especially that they're trying to make the battle system 'perfect' so there wouldn't be any glitches or such. And the good part of it taking a while is that the gaia staff can give more clues about the battle system. As of now with all the information we have, almost anything is possible.
