I was doing all the flowers for my son's wedding. My future daughter in law handed me a super giant wreath she wanted decorated to hang on a balcony. I have designed quite a few wreaths, but never one that large. What I did was study the current floral wreaths for sale on the internet. I then eventually decided to design a wreath spray then duplicate (or should I say triplicate it?) by copying the design in two other places along the wreath. That way the size didn't overwhelm me. I was surprised that there were no giant bridal wreaths like the one I was to design on the web for sale. After I finished the wreath and realized how time consuming it was, I realized it would be too cost prohibitive to do this in mass.

I received tons of compliments about the floral arrangements I did for the wedding. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a photograph of the wreath during the wedding! I only have one partial photograph with it showing. That's what I get for being a nervous mother of the groom!

I would appreciate anyone else sharing floral design stories if they have them.
