So, I was just thinking... what is it to a bestfriend? WOuld they be kind, happy, iontelligent, caring? Would they sastify your expectations? Then, I thought of it: "WHy not be my own best friend?"
So, before you scream, "You Loonatic!" Think of my reasons:
1) They'll be just like you 2) They'll always be on when you're on 3) When you talk to them, you know they'll listen 4) You can always seek favours from them 5) YOu can always feel comfortable around them
Therefore, I tried adding myself, but I received this message from Gaia: "Illogical Submission: Ha! We just caught you trying to add yourself to your own Friend List or Ignore List! Please seek psychiatric help for your strange self-esteem issues. "
*SIgh* Isn't there anyone who finds this unjust?

Me thinks I is weak, and Myself despises both of us, so..
No, I can't honestly say I'd add myself to my own friends list. We just don't get along that well. Then again, isn't a best friend someone you can disagree with, but still be close to regardless?

I agree with everything you put as reasons to be able to add your own self to your friend's list. It is quite true that you can be your own best friend. I just think that it is funny situation to be in.

I'm quite sure that Gaia used to allow adding yourself to your own friend list, because I had a friend who did so, and it showed up that we have a friend in common. It looked weird to me. I thought "do I have another friend with an avatar looking exactly like hers?", so I clicked and realised it was just the same person. I was surprised that it was allowed.
One of the possible reasons why Gaia doesn't allow this any more is because it clutters up the database. Why do you need yourself on the list anyway? It's not like you're going to lose track of yourself if you didn't add yourself to your friend list, right?

My shadow is my best friend. It doesn't ask anything of me, it listens, and it doesn't clear out my refridgerator when it visits. ^.^

My mule is my best friend.
Problem solved.
But yes, Gaia did used to allow it. Strange that they changed it. I'm not entirely sure why they worked on that instead of, say, the marketplace bug. But whatever.

I think that's pretty funny... xd
Not the fact that you want to add yourself as a friend, because I would do that, too... but Gaia's response is funny. xd

I think "lunatic" is spelled with a U, not two O's.

Hm, interesting theory. But usually only crazy people talk to themselves for extended periods of time. Oh, and I think you're holding down the shift button too long when you capitalize letters. I'd let it slide a few times, but it's a relatively consistent error.
