At age 17, Mitsuba Takanashi debuted her first short story Mou Koi Nante Shinai (Never Fall in Love Again) in 1992 in Bessatsu Margaret magazine and now has several major titles under her belt.

Born in the Shimane Prefecture of Japan, Mitsuba Takanashi now lives in Tokyo, where she enjoys taking walks, watching videos, shopping, and going to the hair salon. Her penchant for all things fashionable can be seen in her characters hip, unconventional outfits, as well as their crazy hairstyles (note the 'do on Crimson Hero star Nobara!). Takanashi has a soft spot for the Japanese pop acts Yellow Monkey and Hide, and is good at playing ping pong.

.: ♫ :: 永遠を夢見てた安保頃の僕らはいつまでも離れずに抱き合って笑ってた

I hang with a lot of Volley Ball GIrls and they love Crimson Hero okay only one of them. But I think with out her, I wouldn't really be into it as much as I am. I still can't get past how manly those girls are though!

Have dreamed of eternity I of security time forever without leaving, to hold, you have laughed :: ♫ :.

I have to say it's a totally awesome series. I'm all for the rebelious thing! GO NOBARA GO!!!
But the question that is ALWAYS asked with ANY manga that has a love triangle...
Who should she be with?
She obviously like Yushin, but he rejected her, in public! She has no deep feelings for Haibuki, but he pinned her up against a vending machine and kissed her! I feel so bad for her!

Wouldn't it be wierd if Nobara hooked up with Tomonori or someone like that? O__o Just, like, out of the blue...

It's going to be in the next issue. The difference is the chapters are called something along the lines of "match" or "game" instead of practice.

With each issue of SB, this series is getting better and better. I've come to enjoy it a lot not like when I got my first issue of SB.

I heart Nobara especially after her time out of town. The new look is a LOT cuter in my opinion!

I agree with you. smile

Dang, it's been a long time since anyone's been here. x_x

I felt bad about not posting here lately. Has anyone else been surprised at all by how the story is turning out? Not like romance is that big of a shock in this story anymore, but (and I'm referring to recent issues of the magazine) Kaz's obsession over Nobara and Yushin has brought the manga to levels I'd never thought it would come to before. It's starting to get really dramatic (and yeah, I know, it's shojo manga) but it's definitely different than how the series had started.

Still looking forward to future chapters.

By the way, the original poster said that the series is still running in Japan. Is that true? I wonder when it's going to end..
