You can no longer place spaces in your user name when changing it. |
Heinous! The space is probably the most important grammatical device of the English language! |

Okay, so I was going to change my username, but Gaia no longer allows people to place spaces in their screen names. HEINOUS, I tell you. Why do you think this change has been made?

While you're pondering the question, would you mind helping me with a creative way of typing a new screen name?
Here's the phrase I'm using: Inspired Ambitions

I changed a mule's name the other day and it allowed me to put a space in, so is this something that just happened today or something?

Really? Yeah, it just happened today. Although I think I tried doing this before, and it didn't allow me to put spaces in the name.... D:

I know that when I first started out on Gaia, they didn't allow any spaces in the username. Instead, you had to use the underline. You know, like my name: greenrider_calidar. See the underline? It's easier than a space, I agree, because then you don't have to wonder about how many spaces there are. If you wanted to do Ispired Ambitions, just type in Inspired_Ambitions. Simple, see?

Yeah...see, I'm mildly retarded so I don't know how to change one's name. Although, since I don't know what I want to change it to yet, it's not really a problem yet. mrgreen

Greenrider: An underscore is easier than a space? Maybe, but I prefer to use the space.
Of course it would be simple to just type 'Inspired_Ambitions' instead of 'Inspired Ambitions', but I'm very particular, you see. I'll only use that as a last resort.
Red-Chocolate: Haha, don't worry about it. When you go to your profile, click on preferences. In the intro paragraph (where Rina describes what you can do in that section), there should be a link. Click on that, and it should take you to a page where you can change your screen name, change your avatar's gender, or enter in your birthdate.

They allowed me to change my name From Uchiha Alex to this, so it must be a new thing. I've had this name since Summer.

Do you still have to pay 10,000g to change your name a third or fourth time? I thought that was dumb. talk2hand
Yeah, an underscore works almost as well. I have employed it in more than one instance. 3nodding

Obito Sharingan Uchiha:I guess so.
[Joan De Arc]: Really? I dunno. I haven't tried to change it in a while.
Ah, I like your ideas. Even though that wasn't the word I was going to change my user name to. But now that you've given ideas for it, I might change it to that. xD I do like that word...
Miko_Sohma: Yes, unfortunately. Yeah, I think it is too. I know it does, but I don't really want to use one. At least, not in the middle. But the system also won't allow me to start my user name with an underscore.
They gave this example:
MyUsername instead of _=My Username=_

Well thank the gods I don't plan on changing my name. Seriously, underscore instead of spaces? Sorry. That's just not a comparison.
