Overview:
I'm a strong believer that music can inspire artwork. This contest is simple, draw a furry picture of what you think of when you listen to a music. Entries must be turned before the end of April and the winners will be declared on May 1st at about 3:00PM EST. There is no entry fee.

Prizes:
Judging will be decided by an impartial judge on May 1st and winner will be announced at 3:00PM EST.
1st Place: 10,000 gold and a mystery gift.
2nd Place: 3,000 gold
3rd Place: 1,000 gold

Contest Rules:
As this is a contest, there must be some ground rules.
1. This is a furry guild. The picture must also be furry. Non-furry pictures will not be accepted.
2. All pictures must be turned in by April 30th at 11:59PM. Pictures submitted after this date will not be accepted.
3. Pictures must be sumbitted by PMing me or posting them on this thread.
4. You can enter multiple times, but you can only win once.
5. You must specify the name of the song and the band that sings it.

Well, this is the first contest, next month we will use a different song.

I think it'd be more interesting if the artists could choose their own song that inspires them, rather than a song chosen by the person holding the contest.

Hmm... I guess you're right.... Fine. Everyone can pick their own music, but they must remember to say what the song is and who performs it.
So the rules have been updated to reflect this

Personally I kind of liked the challenge of doing a piece to a chosen song....but maybe next month. For future reference, Kitsune, try searching for an AMV of the song you want to use on youtube.com and providing that link instead. 3nodding

It was merely a suggestion, you didn't have to change the rules to cater to one person's opinion.

My only suggestion would be to give more time, a longer deadline. Most contest that post here usually give around a month or so to complete art, since most people get busy or whatnot.

this is the song I'm using. I can host it somewhere if anyone wants to give it a listen, it's really nice background music. From samurai champloo, if anyone's wondering.
