Thinking about moving to melbourne but have no idea what suburbs are good and what not.

Anyone from melbourne that could give me a heads up on where to and not to live?

would you want to live closer to the city? hmm i've got a few suburbs in mind.

and what do you look for in a 'good' suburb?.  

I wouldn't have much of a clue on Melbourne having only been there twice....

But as for Kensington, it's not that bad as far as I know. That is, if you're talking about the one in the Adelaide Metropolitan.

I have no clue where Kensington is.

Suburbs in Melbourne are weird, because there are expensive areas in suburbs RIGHT next to poor areas.

Otherwise, if you list suburbs, I can judge them then.

Generally, suburbs in the East and South-East are the 'better' ones, but not by any means cheaper.
